That to me is about the best team that we can pick. Let's see how they go.

We need to remember that we are still competing in the comp, still need to pick the best available?

I disagree. We are not in this competition by a country mile. He should be picking players with next year in mind.

Look at the ladder.

I get what you are saying but lets face it we are not going anywhere if we make the semis. It will be another slaughter by the Storm.

Agree, and probably won’t make the 8 either, but making would be huge for the club and anything can happen.

It would be good for the club and to give the players a taste of it. Dont disagree with that. I just think he should be thinking long term remembering they dont hand out trophies for coming eighth. This big fascination with making the 8 always makes me laugh. Most of the 8 are just making up the numbers.

I think you’ve forgotten how exciting it is to watch your team play when it matters. Lots of us have .

Fair call , I just fear we will be lambs to the slaughter.

You’re right but the positives would outweigh the negatives. We wouldn’t have to put up with 11 squillion articles mentioning the finals drought for starters

Couldn’t agree more about the one percenters. But why does he keep picking Talau then when he drops his head after dropping a ball (again) and walks back also. I have seen that now several times.

I haven’t seen Talau make an obvious error based on lack of trying, he’s made some boofhead ones though. I guess the assumption is he’ll mature into a strong player minus those handling mishaps.

Yeah - it does get tiresome doesn’t it.

I like the team. Like most, I do not necessarily understand the inclusion of MCK. Would have preferred Tuilagi. I like Blore starting. To be honest, I was worried MCK starts and Blore on the bench.

Put Tuilagi in the side and you end up with 3 benchies (excluding Twal) combined experience of 15 matches.

There's an ad. on this page advising me to "leave my girlfriend speechless, try this before bed."

Won't that upset my wife though?

Ads are based on your personnel google searches..

Well I get ads for Thai brides and I definitely only look up Filo brides online. Something kooky with the algorithm.

Thank heavens Blore is in...finally gets to start.

For those who said "what has he done"...well, he averages 2/3 of Garner's stats in 20 mins. Garner got 80.

Should have been starting for months.

Talau...just what a liability.

Young Jake is a rep class prospect...he should be 14 and sharing mins with Liddle.

Jake's best mate is Hoffman...who is being let go and given absolutely no chance. Would not be surprised also if Jake asks to go somewhere as Madge only plays one hooker and Liddle has that spot for the next few years possibly.

Where is the news that Hoffman is being let go? Doesn't he have a NRL contract for next year?

That shows the risk in recruiting gun kids, a significant percentage will never make it as an NRL player.

A couple of the 'insiders' said he was unhappy when overlooked for Pauga...and, let's be realistic, we have been absolutely terrible at center all season...and he is only player not to get any look in at all. None. Not even named in the 21 as a token gesture. He is clearly not rated by Madge.

Not rated by me either.

I'd rather see chee at second row

id rather see him in England

Yeah true another not known for his defence

He should go to the Netherlands and fit in with all the other windmills

Turnstyles? You mean turnstyles? They let people through.

Windmills just spin upright.

I think Talau offers something also but the same mistakes every week is killing the team. That simple draw and pass to Nofo last week was a joke and his constant dropping of the footy at critical stages of the game just arent up to first grade standards. I suppose he is the best of a bad bunch that we have to chose from.

MCK should not be considered a utility.

Would much prefer Jake on the bench.

We need 80mins from liddle each week

But he can't provide that, so we need a second hooker so we have an effective hooker for 80 minutes.

I agree that Talau does show a fair bit of ability. He looks dangerous in attack & can set up players around him.

My biggest concern, and what i think is the cause of most of his errors, is concentration. He just seems to have moments where he switches of during games or seems to be thinking about what he will do next rather than what he is doing now.

Apologies if I offend anyone, but these are traits I associate with youth and/or immaturity.

100%. He looks so down on himself afterwards too which you don’t see from some of the other more high profile nuffies. They have that ‘just got a big fat pay cheque’ attitude.

The fact Chee Kam is in the side shows what a rabble we are....

MCK was never the same after that on field seizure....

I remember seeing him play lower grades and wishing we'd sign him.

He had a few good games but he isn't up to FG standard anymore.
Hoping he has a killer game though!

Madden and Simpkin drop out of the 21-man squad. Cini and Tuilagi remain in reserves

So again we give a young guy his debut and yank him after 2 games, Madge really knows how to stunt a players career, pretty angry atm after just seeing the team list. Mbye should be the first player dropped but still can’t do no wrong.

Better temper that anger buddy might burst when we loose

He's been giving the reserves the same (2 games) all year, to get the taste I guess?

I don’t know, we’ll I don’t think that is the plan, Cini got dropped after a shocker in his second game, I think they were hoping Pauga would come in and be an instant success. I can tell you one thing that is Pauga at least tries, Mbye has already given up.

Thats your opinion mate and fair enough.....Madge thinks and knows better than us....
