It's sad when other clubs are giving their best juniors a taste of first grade to wet their appetite and prepare them for next season and we're still holding onto the past. Team selections this past month have been a joke. We're so scared to give our young players a shot for some reason. The only club in the nrl to be so hesitant

There is A VERY significant difference and reason why a couple of clubs have decided to blood a heap of youngsters and IMO it’s the same reason why we haven’t. Can you spot the difference?

The very reason Canberra and Melbourne are giving all there kids a go is the same reason we don’t.

Nah you are not being vague. I was probably over cryptic.

The teams that are flooding youngsters are already in the 4/8 and this round has no real bearing. The reason (other than resting stars) is that if they are needed during finals, they have had no football because of no reggies and they need to give them a run so they are not woefully underdone when it counts.

Maybe their younger players are ready and ours are not????

We don’t have that upside, they will just be woefully underdone with no upside

Those that have been long term players deserve a send off, i understand the logic of blooding new players but we have had opportunities to do this the last couple of weeks and didn't?

Dropping BJ a good move might make him reflect on his performance in 2020 and strive to be better in 2021?

Would still like to know whom is not being offered a contract for 2021 but also understand might upset team harmony leading into final game for some players.

They’re 2.40 against an average Newcastle side. I couldn’t jump on that price quick enough. I think Brisbane will win too.

I will exclude one possibility that Parra rest their stars OR tell their team to go easy, then we may get a surprise upset. That won't happen.

Like our last game, it was a Bludgeoning. Both teams hit hard and both teams got a stack of injuries. Notice we lost our next games against far easier sides after that match (Warriors, a few others after that). Likewise Parra lost matches.

I agree with the analysis above. all of Parra's backs outclass all of ours. Likewise in the forwards we are totally outclassed. I also say Luciano Leulia IS NOT tied with Matterson. Not at all. Our only advantage is Harry Grant and Marshall/Brooks being a known combination. Our forwards will not be able to set up a platform against the current Parra side.

That said, boys I hope you perform and put some points on Parra

Benji and Lawrence combined well on the left usually. I hope Brooks and Marshall play on both sides.

I'd love a Benji no look short passes to a rampaging Lawrence running an outside in line. oh please let that happen 😛ray:

The best way to attack would be to run at Matterson, get him at marker then run traffic to Moses and the Blakes
