Bennett does not muck around, dropped Mansour after one game.

And Host, we should have done the same

Drop Brooks ?

No.

You sir have the wrong idea of what im looking for.

Could be a player that needs to prove fitness such as Kepoa? Talau may be cover for such a situation, otherwise it's a hint of things to come for him toward the back row.

Didn't see Talau play as I fell asleep 10 minutes into the second half. Based on comments on various other platforms including this one, he made a decent impact in his short stint. His career is taking an interesting turn and I'm super intrigued to see where he ends up. He really could be anything.

You fell asleep during a tigers game? That's not acceptable hahaha

Nobody sleeps during Tigers games in my house, I’m usually screaming profanities at the top of my lungs.

I don’t think that you should panic and make changes after just one game, if someone doesn’t preform two games in a row then it’s time for a stint in CC.

Yes but when a player goes on social media and makes a fool of himself after playing VERY poorly he needs his head pulled in.

Whatever you’re looking for I don’t think you’ll find it after 1 game .

No way we’ll run with that bench

Hope your right, but i'm no longer shocked by selections.

Always find it funny when people say this, yet Madge chopped and changed all season last year.

Anyway, I do agree Garner had to be dropped. It was a very poor effort similar to what we've seen from him last season.

Thats the situation Maguire is trying to deal with i guess. his players had a bit of a sook. Media call him too tough etc.

My concern is that although i rate him as a coach and praise his recruitment he is blowing a lot of hot air.

Constantly talks about playing to a new standard and what he wants from the players. What they need to buy in to but when they dont he does absolutely nothing about it.

He is fast becoming all talk.

I think Tommy could be a very good ball playing lock, similar to Cameron Murray but slightly bigger and faster. Plus he was a 5/8 coming through so has good ball playing skills.

TT - 189cm / 92kg
CM - 184cm / 90kg

No idea why he persists with Kepaoa. The bloke has feet for hands.

He is really poor in that department

I could see us running with that bench. We have a lot of forwards who can play big minutes, give Talau a run in the middle towards the end of both halves possibly and Mbye a run at hooker.

As soon as Musgrove is back the bench will have him, Stefano Mikaele and Mbye on it and it'll stay that way as long as they're all fit I reckon. For now we have to make do and Madge seems to want to really try take advantage of the new rules

Cracks..?

I agree with you ..Joey should have been held accountable not for his game..It's round 1 but the carry on pre and post the game..nonsense..

I am happy to give another chance to the likes of Joey & Garner as its only been 1 game and lets be honest we don't exactly have a lot of back up options with experience. Looking at the stats from last week maybe Alex Seyfarth should get a run over Garner..
With Musgrove back next week he will be back into the 17.
Maybe Talau could jump into 13 when he comes on as he has great ball playing skills and against a tied team might create some chances.

Can understand giving guys a chance to redeem themselves. If guys like Liddle and Joey can't improve from last week they need to be dropped though - I would include Garner but I don't see any of the other options doing a better job. Chee Kam is just as bad defensively and Tuki Simpkins bas barely even played league

If a back had fitness concerns & Talau was covering he would be 18th man not fixed to the bench. He is playing back row.

I expect Liddle will. Hodgson was all over him, a few times wasn’t square but got away with smothering him. The Roosters hookers won’t be like that for the fullgame. Also our forwards will get some faster play the balls. Raiders are notorious for holding down & slowing the ruck down.

If Liddle can get space and with AD back we will create space for the backs to be used.

No surprises here. Shame garner is still there and a few others. Roll on Sunday.
