From what I saw and I'm aware it's not the same level as nrl but Gambles kicking game leaves Brooks for dead and Milne won't see the nrl anytime soon
 
i hope im so wrong, but this has to be one of the worst sides we've fielded for round 1.

have such low expectatinos that i'll be happy if they are in the game.

Marsters clearly is in far better form then Milne or Suli (whatever team he is not playing for). Suli did not do very much for us last year, could be something but was nothing.
I can definitely see ET being a hooker option, I can also see Founa being a blast when his game it on (as well as Thompson).

Other then that I reckon we fielded a better squad then what you have listed on your signature. Hey they got the job DONE>

sorry, i wasn't referring that my team is better- as a squad there is depth but position by position, we'd lose to every team.

and as i mentioned in another thread, im happpy to put my hand up if they constantly prove me wrong the whole season

Lets see then. I doubt any tiger fan could have picked the lineup below. I thought Pita Godinet was our 6th choice hooker after Liddle, Mcllwick, Taylor, Benji, Reynolds, etc. Yet he is the hooker and he is coming up with the goods (not sure how he will go vs Cam Smith and I would not pick him there for that match). I certainly did not see MWZ and Thompson pushing Nofo and Foana out but glad to see Marsters at Center as I think he earned it more then Suli ever did.

In short I too was wrong and I am damn glad to see Cleary was right in picking this side.

On paper this side looks as weak as hell, particularly in the backs. In practise for round 1 they brought home the bacon. Position by position there is no way we should be winning games (ok 5/8 Marshall can bring the goods and our forward pack is IMHO better then the average, but totally agree position by position we look like reserve grade). Yet they appear to be playing full throttle and as a team!
