WESTS Tigers Team V Souff's

After the first two rounds we look to be a slightly better team than last year. Last year we were doing surprisingly well up until we beat the dogs…then it all went to po.
And Souths look a slightly worse team on paper.
We'll be going in as underdogs and are capable of an upset.
Id give Taupau a spell this week, no matter what the doctors say. Thats two head knocks already. We saw what happened to Fulton last year.

I consider the whole " we were going well until the Bulldogs game" to be a bit of a myth. We played some good games undoubtedly but we also played some very poor games, including the following losses:

Rd 1 Dragons 24-44
Rd 4 Warriors 18-42
Rd 8 GC 6-22 (at home)
Rd 18 Manly 8-40 (week before Bulldogs game).

Even the Cowboys game we won in Rd 16, we played terribly. We were very lucky to jag a win against a very poor Cowboys side that night. It was only Farah that got us home.

We were sitting in 10th place before the Bulldogs game and we ended up finishing 13th. Clearly we lost 6 straight after the Bulldogs game so we slid but there were clear cracks prior to the Dogs game.

The Dogs game itself wasnt even that great. Our defence was woeful in the early part and we were fortunate that the Bulldogs had a very off-game.

Anyway thats just my view.

There all high and mighty these Souffs supporters hey.
There looking for me at work .
I just keep reminding them if it happens once every 43 years, you know it's a good year

Twitter,,,,,nah …. Although a birdy did tell me last week he was struggling...

TIGERS: Coach Jason Taylor is hoping to throw the fiery Matt Lodge into his team to face the tough Bunnies pack now he has completed a suspension for off-field bad boy antics.

But he is in doubt with a leg injury and faces a late fitness test.

Suspect Lamar was on standby for Tapau. Given Lodge is out JT obviously wants a replacement with more size. Im happy with that and that Lamar isnt far off getting a gig.

Lodge is out for 4 weeks with a slight strain to his cruciate ligament and bruising around it.

Marty Tapau was sensational all game…Brooks and Moses have a lot to do to be a competitive halves combination although they are young and inexperienced we need someone like Drinkwater in either position to give us some last play options,we weren't very good in that department today..

Defence was absolutely courageous all day and there is a marked improvement in this section of our game...

We didn't get flogged today and congratulations to the West Tigers for having a real go at the premiers...
