Dominate their forwards and don’t give their edges room to move easy

If we maintain the physicality of the past month our forwards will have a field day with the Souths pack.
Get them running sideways and their backs will fall apart. Reynolds and specifically Walker will throw in the towel after half an hour if they can't get forward movement.

The question is can we maintain the physicality of the past month, especially with troops down and others, though named, will no doubt have question marks over their fitness.

Don't want to be a downer, but I just have a feeling that we will be a little flat this week. Last week's game was very taxing, both physically and emotionally. Penrith bashed us from pillar to post physically, there was the whole Joey brain snap, Ivan's taunting and I think the boys were rightfully ticked off at the biased refereeing throughout the entire match as well. They are most likely still wondering what they have to do to get an even break with the officials, as it's a perennial problem for us.

Maybe it will work as motivation and the team will come out firing on all cylinders once again, but I'm really not expecting it, tbh. Hope I'm wrong, but I don't think we will win this one. One thing for certain though is that Souths will get the rub of the green on playing field, and in the media also - guaranteed.

Biggest game of the season and he names MCK to start in the centres. If this squad starts the game then i'll have to start having doubts abouts Madge's ability to select the right team. Picking ineffective and out of form players solely for 'experience' is madness. Hoffman is faster, stronger, and better defensively than MCK. If MCK plays by default that would just be sad, sad....

We need to trust the coach as he has done a excellent job so far with what he has..
However I still don't understand why we let Thompson go without a replacement or did the replacement fall through? It just doesn't make sense to me but if I was the coach I would move Talau to centre and give Hoffman a go at wing. Add Lawrence or MCK on the bench to cover if needed.

Wests Tigers have been boosted by the inclusion of co-captain Moses Mbye, Luciano Leilua and Sam McIntyre for their Round 9 clash against the South Sydney Rabbitohs this Friday night.

After being helped from the field in last week's close loss to the Panthers, Leilua and McIntyre have both been named for this week's game as Wests Tigers look to consolidate their spot inside the top eight.

Mbye's inclusion is also a key one for Michael Maguire's side after a knee complaint last week prevented him from his regular goal-kicking duties.

With Joey Leilua suspended for the next four matches, Maguire has named Michael Chee Kam — who scored the match-winner last time the two sides met — as his replacement in the centres with Chris Lawrence coming on to the bench.

Rookie Reece Hoffman joins the reserves in place of Lawrence, where he joins Benji Marshall, Billy Walters and Russell Packer in the extended squad.

Wests Tigers will provide an updated 19-man squad on Thursday night, before finalising their side to take on the Rabbitohs at 6:55pm on Friday.

1 Adam Doueihi
2 David Nofoaluma
3 Micheal Chee-Kam
4 Moses Mbye
5 Tommy Talau

6 Josh Reynolds
7 Luke Brooks

8 Josh Aloiai
9 Harry Grant
10 Oliver Clark
11 Luciano Leilua
12 Luke Garner
13 Matt Eisenhuth

14 Elijah Taylor
15 Thomas Mikaele
16 Sam McIntyre
17 Chris Lawrence

18 Benji Marshall
19 Billy Walters
20 Reece Hoffman
21 Russell Packer

Expect changes ......

I’d bloody well hope so

If there is that will mean Luciano Mbye or McIntyre don't play so I bloody well hope not...

Biggest game of the year was against the Titans and they blew it .
Do you really expect us to win against Souths who’s backline consists of all Origin and Test players except for Graham ..
Plus we’re missing the likes of Twal , Musgrove and BJ

Yeah righto !

MCK starting at centre is a terrible decision. He’s been horrible all year.

Are you happy with him starting there?

Yeah righto !

Incorrect.

Our biggest game wasn't against the team coming last, it's against the team we're fighting for a spot in the 8 against. We should beat them. If BJ was playing i think we would. Now we've got a massive weakspot unless madge tinkers with his lineup.

He hasn't been one to use smokescreens this season, but maybe that was in itself a smokescreen?? Can only hope.

Hmm the lose of bj will definatley hurt. But hey if we rip up his contact like some want we can go back to having no specialist centes thats worked for us in the past hasnt it

I'm happy to give chee the benefit of the doubt. I thought the world had ended when we picked huth and he has been amazing.

Let's go chee

It's not the optimal choice but I don't think it will be the end of days...

I think we might see Chee-kam and Lawrence share the centre roll
We will need to be on our toes defending in the centre's against a quality back line
I think our forwards will more then hold their own
It might just work for us
