Surely Suli comes onto the wing for Rankin. I'd say he's been named at 21 to keep the media attention to a minimum during the week.
I don't think Rankin spent any time on the wing during the trials.

Would prefer Felise in the 17 over Edwards also.
 
What a joke, if Felise doesn't get the nod ahead of Edwards then Taylor has slippery brown stuff for brains.

Rankin? Another joke, can't defend to save his life. Idris is going to be tired after 50 minutes, good luck defending with that side.

Pretty much expected I gusss, Edwards will come in for MM I assume at some stage

Jeez Naiqama/Rankin combo would have to be the weakest in the comp by a long stretch

Yeah I agree…surely this is all smoke and mirrors. Goalkicking duties to Moses or Teddy?
 
Rankin AND Edwards?….might be best to go buy a carton and get drunk now instead of waiting until game time Friday.

Surely to God we have better players to go with than those two?

Rankin will be in the side 100%.. he is the no9 back up. Don't agree, but he will be in the side. Also I guess Edwards will also be in the side other wise JT would not have named him and he is probably our strongest defender

Well in that case let Suli come in for Rankin who can replace Edwards on the bench. Rankin can sub in for McIllwrick if he needs a rest
 
I don't think Rankin is a poor defender but it would have been exciting to see Suli on the wing. It appears that the emphasis is on defence, with Edwards, who is a hard hitter being chosen. Still, as we know from past experience, the side announced on Tuesday is not necessarily the side that runs out on game day.
 
I think it's a waste having both MCK and Edwards on the bench. Felise has to come in for one of them, preferably MCK.
