If you watch back some highlights of the warriors parra game, the warriors reallyyyyy struggled to diffuse those smaller bombs on the try line Moses was putting up on their left edge so Doueihi should be more of a target than ever come Friday.

That's a massive advantage of Doueihi at centre, he is such a danger in the air. He'll either score or knock it back, it's something we've done very well this year as a team actually. We've scored quite a few tries off those kind of kicks

:flushed:

Hey, I prefer AD at 5/8 but he's a real threat in the air ? brooks has kicked them well, why you so surprised?

Hard to improve on perfection.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves we beat a struggling Knights team. The Warriors will be a good test.

I was joking

Would prefer to see Simpkin on the bench ahead of Madden but hopefully the boys can back up and get the job done.

Expected, wouldn't mind seeing Simpkin in for Madden as he probably provides more value but can understand not changing a winning team.

We have been extremely lucky with injuries and suspensions this year, it's a blessing pretty much majority of our squad is available for selection every week. Disappointing we haven't won more as it's this type of luck you need to have a successful year, would be a shame to waste it.

We all have our favoured selections come tuesday, however, after last weeks performance against the knights, maybe Madge knows best ....
He made so pretty sensational calls last week and I reckon he is starting to understand each players ability and prefered positions....

My Motto for this week is .."Madge knows best ""

Hopefully madden actually gets to show what he can do this week. He came on at a crap time last game and had to defend for 95% of the time he was out there

I think Madge is going to do what he did to Simpkin and give him 4 or 5 games to get a feel for the game.
Send back to reserves to focus on certain areas to improve on and if they can prove they belong they will get the opportunity. Madge has given a lot of players there debut in the last 18 months to see if they have what it takes.
All about building from the ground up and resigning the young ones we want before they are poached.

I don't like Mbye at 5/8. Wasn't particularly impressive last week, doesn't really want the ball or try anything, which is anti what 5/8s should do. In a dominant performance that didn't matter, if we're on the back foot needing spark then I don't think this team is the right way round with Doueihi at centre. But whatever. I think Warriors will be a good test for us, a solid team who we need to play well to beat. Hopefully we can produce better than what we did against the Titans. If that happens I'll not cause trouble over Mbye at 5/8. All that said, I think Mbye has been really good for us this year as number 14 and filling in wherever, very handy player in that sort of role, so not having a go at him, just not a 5/8.

Not sure how Jock really fits into the rotation, would rather see Simpkin there rather then moving 2 postions.

Yah don't get that.

Not against Jock being giving a crack, but much rather we use and rotate Simpkin. Need to continue developing him in stints.

It's more important to develop Jock.
Hooker is settled. Simpkin is now the confirmed second banana.

Don't agree that halves should be interchanged, no feel for the game, takes time to notice and build attack around weaknesses.

If he wants Madden to play it should be 7 or 6 for the game

But thats just one punters opinion!

Disagree he did exactly what we needed from our 6, he passed early too the edges which we haven’t done all year! That’s exactly what a five eight should be doing! When the opportunity comes I’m sure he’ll run it, saw it a few times during the game. He made a massive difference in the halves. I hope he continues! It also makes our defence better. Mybe just needs to come out this week and do the same thing and run it straight if the opportunity comes. I hope we see more of his short kicking game, will add further to the attack.

We need to get off to a good start...it's a confidence thing with us...if we start well I think we finish well,,,and it's been a long time since we've had 2 wins in a row😛ray:

What scares me a out the warriors is RTS and Walsh.
Those 2 have motors and speed.
Fullbacks like that slaughter us.

We must get off to a good start and when the warriors score (they will) we need to not let it bother us.

They attack the edges big time, especially the left side with early cut out balls is the style, LL, AD & Nofa will get a very big work out this week.

This season is about jagging as many wins as possible whilst giving experience and blooding the team of 2022 onwards

100% agree that Walsh and RTS are massive threats to u.. That Walsh kid is something special and warriors fans should be stoked they picked him up.

the warriors are a better side than a lot of people give them credit for. they're deservedly favourites. AFB out helps but they've got a massive forward pack and ours will need to stand up if we're going to go close.

They’re a tough side. Away from home for nearly 18 months, yet have a go every single week.

Mbye was given a simple job, and he did it well.

He's not going to pull a rabbit out of the hat, ever, but he'll do the job that will improve the players around him. He did have a decent running game once upon a time, who knows, that might come back.

We played a diabolic Knights side, so can't take too much from it - but if he's able to keep doing that job, we'll be better for it.

Was spewing we pulled out of the walsh stakes.
Know the talk was for a Walters swap this year but geez he is one you go all in for. He is a super talent.

Happy with 1-13 based on last week but I dont understand Madden being there and want Stefano back.

Agree re Madden? Maybe he doesn't want to change a winning team, it seems a wasted spot?

I think its a total waste. Would rather Simpkin or just another forward.

I am thinking the reason for the non selection of a second hooker is to keep the KOE Cup team in a strong position. I get the feeling that the club is putting quite an emphasis on the lower grades atm.
