Warriors are a completely different team without AFB, this is a winnable game for WTs.
Therefore it will no doubt be lost in an incredibly disappointing fashion.
Letss Go TIGES!!

We showed up last week...Sound the alarm.

Our defence last week was poor. Every time the knights had it within our 30 they looked likely. We just had the ball more and the rub of the green. The warriors will be a much harder ask I fear

Our right edge defense is still a big concern of mine, our scramble was good last week, lots of Tigers jerseys getting back to help out. It’s all an attitude thing (except for the couple of guys who lack fitness) and unfortunately we rarely put two efforts together.

I got a good look at the right side on Friday night at the game. Felt like the Knights would score every time they got close and knew it. We did scramble but it was hard to watch. The late tries were disappointing. I was telling my broncos mates we needed 36 to win at HT

Luciano doesn’t have the speed or agility to hold up an edge against classy backs. Move him to the middle or play him in bursts.

Just don't play him near his brother! They looked panicked and no doubt the warriors are coming straight down there

They’re on opposite sides at the moment, he’s next to Mbye and AD

They strip us for numbers easily and Nofa loses his head and races in.

Dare we say the worst right side defense in the comp atm? It wasnt until I watched it live to see how vulnerable they are. AD and MM were not talking. Noffa rushing in as always the moment things got snappy. TBH i didnt notice LL. But maybe he was jogging back. LL was immense in attack though.

He doesn’t move laterally to close gaps, the action happens wider but his laziness on the inside creates the space. Agree he offers a lot in attack but most weeks were too far behind for attack to matter.

I would love to see a game, well maybe not, though the premise is to see a game where our defence played their roles and only their roles. I think we mark hard on players who spend alot of the game covering and then get exposed, the symptom of playing breakdown footy, rather than letting us be eaten up at the weak link and actually being able to diagnose the issue. I see alot of our guys over-working to cover the few and then be found out because of it.

LL cops it alot... the successful teams we hoped we could play as well as, set the platform with their props, and really attack with their 11, 12 13's, their props start sets and dominate tackles. We play more tackles to props (Sharon Woods made 200m a game in 6m runs and was considered a legend) who gas and let our 2nd rowers get sucked into the middle defending, then cry when we get run around. LL doent cop it for lack of work, he cops it for being found out defending above his pay grade.

I like it, for my simple mind, you are saying the middle forwards need to do their job before we blame the outside backs and links for leaking points. Love the Sharon comment. Gold!

Utoikamanu and Armone drop off reserves Simpkin and Chee-Kam remain..

I don't like Mbye at 5/8. Wasn't particularly impressive last week, doesn't really want the ball or try anything, which is anti what 5/8s should do. In a dominant performance that didn't matter, if we're on the back foot needing spark then I don't think this team is the right way round with Doueihi at centre. But whatever. I think Warriors will be a good test for us, a solid team who we need to play well to beat. Hopefully we can produce better than what we did against the Titans. If that happens I'll not cause trouble over Mbye at 5/8. All that said, I think Mbye has been really good for us this year as number 14 and filling in wherever, very handy player in that sort of role, so not having a go at him, just not a 5/8.

Disagree he did exactly what we needed from our 6, he passed early too the edges which we haven’t done all year! That’s exactly what a five eight should be doing! When the opportunity comes I’m sure he’ll run it, saw it a few times during the game. He made a massive difference in the halves. I hope he continues! It also makes our defence better. Mybe just needs to come out this week and do the same thing and run it straight if the opportunity comes. I hope we see more of his short kicking game, will add further to the attack.

Watching Newcastle v Nth Qld and feel like Nth Qld look like premiership favourites against them. I hope you're right but the Knights give so much space and time that any decent halves would shine against them. Again, not wanting to be negative but Newcastle are terrible at the moment. Doueihi just has heaps more motor, creativity, variety, passion. He's just a much better 5/8 in every way, where as Mbye has decent skills but not much ticker or craft. Again, I don't mind Mbye, just think it's crazy playing him there ahead of Doueihi. But I was wrong last week and hope I'm wrong again.

You may be onto something. Would need some pretty groovy drone cameras and the like to fully get a gauge on whether our middles are pulling their weight in defense. Looking at tries conceded teams aren’t going straight through us as much as last year.

I think mybe in at 6 and douhie at 7 makes our team look better. Adam does everything he already does without having to make as many tackles or big guys in front of him. Mybe showed what we have been missing with Adam at 6, our edges where dangerous which then made mybe dangerous! When Adam was 6 he was really dangerous but our edges where barely used. Our team just works better with mybe at 6. He has a simple role so let’s hope he is consistent. He will be able to play his natural game at 6, he actually looks dangerous in attack for one, so we aren’t just using him for defence. Team list just works out better

Happy with 1-13 based on last week but I dont understand Madden being there and want Stefano back.

Agree re Madden? Maybe he doesn't want to change a winning team, it seems a wasted spot?

I think its a total waste. Would rather Simpkin or just another forward.

I am thinking the reason for the non selection of a second hooker is to keep the KOE Cup team in a strong position. I get the feeling that the club is putting quite an emphasis on the lower grades atm.

Of course they areeveryone remembers the Reggie's winners from last year and the prestige that goes with it.

I hope you’re right, but after watching Mybe play nearly 150 games, I’m not sure what his natural game even is. One thing I do know is that he is bloody good at earning an NRL contract so I’m confident he’ll be motivated for the rest of the year at least.

I have this feeling that if we win tonight and back up what we did last week and that is a structured game built upon our strengths, we could be in for a bit of a run.
Geez I hope so, my only saving grace is that my close mates at Newy are very quite at the moment

we seem to go alright on the road, so fingers crossed they've got their heads screwed on. can see Nikorima and Walsh toying with us through the middle if we're not careful.

Would be very harsh, but Jock Madden needs to drop off. That spot is a complete waste as he won't get any game time if the halves perform well.

In just about every game this season our starting hooker has noticeably tired around the 30 min mark and made errors.

I can't work out why Madge is not simply playing Jacob 30 - Jake 30- Jacob 20.

Both have been great when fresh and it would give us constant energy at 9.

Agree. Would even say Simpkin is the better starter out of the two, with Liddle's speed crucial around a tired ruck. Madden is a handy footballer but he's not an impactful player off the bench

Yeah agree it’s such a waste in another crunch game

But I’m thinking Madden may get used earlier this time because warriors will be a much tougher assignment than the knights

Anyways Simpkin travelled with the team and is still in the 19 so every chance he’s a late inclusion still

The Warriors are one of only four teams Wests Tigers have a winning record against with 16 wins and 15 losses
Recently Tigers have won 5 of 7 scoring an average of 29 points.
Good record at Gosford.
Continue the run.

Can we at least give madden another go...he had limited minutes and a few touches....

Imo he will prove his worth this week
