breaking news, Souths big-off-season recruit Robbie Farah has torn his bicep at training and his facing considerable time on the sideline.

It’s understood he’ll be right for Round One next year. If he had surgery he would’ve been out for 3-6 months.

South Sydney signed the Wests Tigers veteran Robbie Farah for the 2017 and 2018 NRL seasons.

With 247 first-grade games to Farah's credit, Rabbitohs coach Michael Maguire was pleased to to add the representative hooker to his squad.

Nah…... I have it from a good source..... that apparently he tore it playing nude twister with Georgie Boy...

Can not believe Taylor has not been connected with this injury…..surely he was behind it,there is no other explanation

Classic case of the coaching staff pushing their players too far. Poor bloke just cant catch a trick.

Could have just been a freak injury??

Doesn't say whether he did it making a tackle or lifting weights?

Anyway, good to see the couple usual suspects sticking the boot in, Farah lovers have moved on but some of the Farah haters just can't. Ironic.

Round 1 will be an easy win, a team we pumped twice this year ,and now they have Robbie playing with one arm.

The so called "Farah supporters" have moved on , yet the "Farah haters" still obsess over his every move lol

I hope he recovers and plays.
Id like to see how our goaline defence covers him and his shortballs/kicks close to our line.

Eddie Farah, finally it all clicks.

There's more than just this game at stake for Farah. He has the op, he jeopardises his origin jersey and with Souths picking him up on the cheap, if Cook is performing well in his absence, there's no significant financial penalty to have him waiting in the wings.

He's at the twilight of his career and he needs to stay fit to not be pushed out out of the game earlier than he wants. I understand why he would not want the surgery. He waits it out, it may hold out the year and he can get it fixed at seasons end, or it will go anyway and he'll still need the surgery.

Bahahaha....who are you trying to kid edd?

If we can't beat Souths (who we walloped twice last year) with a player we are paying 700 K to play against us were in for a long year.

Torn Bicep Threatens Ultimate Blockbuster

Matt Buxton (Twitter: @MattBuxton22)

Fri 9th December, 10:30AM

A bicep tear sustained by VB Blues hooker Robbie Farah earlier this week will not prevent the new Rabbitoh from facing his old club, the Wests Tigers, in one of the most anticipated matches in NRL history when Souths host the Tigers in Round 1.

The well-publicised falling out between Farah and the Wests Tigers in the past year led to Channel 9 and the NRL opting to stage the match on the first Friday of 2017 – and Farah won’t be missing the clash.

Farah has decided against having surgery on his bicep, which would have seen him face three to six months on the sideline, and will line up for the Rabbitohs on 3 March.

He will work closely with his brother, Eddie, a physiotherapist at the Rabbitohs, to ensure he manages the injury and puts his best foot forward for club and, potentially, his state in 2017.

**If Farah had elected to have surgery, his NSW VB Blues position would have most certainly been up for grabs.**

The hooker’s injury would have set alarm bells off at Redfern, with rising-star Cameron McInnes given an early release to the St George Illawarra Dragons.

Hmmmmm…

Would have thought an arm would be basically useless with a torn biceps in it?

In the old days hookers were known for loose arms.

All throughout the ages they are also renowned for their loose legs and even looser morals…...whoops sorry, wrong game! :stuck_out_tongue:
