I understand disappointment, and realise that bagging the hell out of Brooks and the forwards is the cool new trendy virtue signalling, but the truth is that last night we came up against the top team in the comp, who havent lost for 11 straight games, who played VERY well and bashed us all night.

...and we didnt lie down. We fought hard against a MUCH better team and pack all night and were kinda technically still in the game with 10mins to go. I was proud of the boys last night.

I don't think anyone is arguing that we didn't fight hard last night

It was all the stupid Under 10 mistakes that many are sick of

The fact many of our players just don't seem to understand simple footy smarts

I'll give you an example ...at one stage in the 2nd half Douehi starts to get on the outside of the player marking him


Golden rule is the second you get on the outside of the player marking you is that you straighten the attack so then it forces the next defender to come in and creates an overlap


IE Fitzhenry's try in the 2005 GF ...Prince beats his man on the outside straightens the attack and Fitzy scores untouched

Why don't our players seem to get it ...and I've seen Brooks do it ...Mbye do it

And don't worry it happens to us more times than you can count

There's almost always a stupid refereeing call that changes the game for us week in, week out. I blame the referee for that, but I'm also sick of how quickly we completely fall apart every week. We set solid foundations and one bad call from a referee or a mistake will undo everything and we just capitulate. I mean, we just conceded 14 points in 10 minutes from one call not going our way. This team has no backbone! They set themselves up well for 30 minutes then just capitulate completely within 10 minutes. Happens every week, I can remember it against the Titans when we were 14-0 up, the Warriors when we were 12-0 up, the first Panthers game when we were up, the Eels game, etc.

It's called momentum - when the Ref gives it to the opposition it is hard to wrest it back.

It is not capitulation - it is Momentum .... hard to win anything without it.

No. This team is a bunch of chokers. You don't see the Roosters or the Storm give away the game within a 10 minute time frame after a bad referee call. I mean seriously, conceding 14 points in 9 minutes after 30 minutes of hard work and foundation? It happens week in and week out... it is pure capitulation.

Complete rubbish. Did you watch the game? Penrith bashed us from the first set. Tigers fought for every inch and every set in defence was tough and hardly fought. I was actually impressed and proud that we held them as well as we did. That level of intensity is hard to sustain and when it breaks it breaks.

Yup - get your point, and the lack of knowledge about our club in the media is very common. See it/hear it every week, pretty sure one of the commentators the other night was praising Benji's form since hes been back in the team (it wasn't Braith)... they just have no idea.

It may have been true in other games, not last night.

14 points in 9 minutes is pure capitulation no matter which way you put it... We fell apart at the end of the first half and it happens all too often. 30 minutes of hard work only to be outdone by 10 minutes of stupitidity

We get bad press all the time because of how we perform on the field. It's justified, when we stop being a crap heap our coverage will be more complimentary.
