Gee Brooks sounds good. Passes test 1\. He'll definitely be in the next trial with the big boys now imo. Miller will be looking over his shoulder imo.
Gee how good is it having two of the best junior halfbacks in Australia in the side. What a change from having none lol. I said a while back I reckon Brooks will play grade this year and he's a huge showing imo. Unless Marshall and Miller cut it right up and play the season out uninjured I reckon Potter will put him in. Old enough if good enough lads and lasses.

They had a lot more experience in the side. Hell Coote has like four times as many first grade games under his belt than our whole side combined. Then Austin as well. Travis Robinson has a few. Who did we have with grade experience? Tedesco 30 mins, Meaney half a dozen games, Thompson a few, Brien with 30 minutes… who else?
No skin of our teeth. Would have liked to have seen the youngsters and reggies put a bit more in in defense but eh.

Good first hit out for the fringe guys looking to push into a NRL spot.
By all reports it was a tad scrappy.
Moreover it was a penalty-a-thon which is not uncommon in these non sanctioned trials. Reffs like to over interpret and really drill into players heads on minor stuff.
Very happy that all players came through and will be right to get amongst it next week

Rory Brien plays Center and Lock, he is 21 years old and weighs 91 kg's. He signed with us from Parra on a 1 year deal. For the people interested.
