I wish to show my support for the Wests Tigers to continue wearing both the Western Suburbs and Balmain heritage jerseys for 1 game each season.
I believe this is one of the better ways the Wests Tigers can honour the proud tradition of the two foundation clubs history.
Please reconsider the decision to no longer wear these jerseys.

It appears the heritage jerseys will remain.

Thanks for the email. Let me start by saying categorically that we have
absolutely no intention of scrapping the Heritage jerseys that Wests
Tigers wear each year.

topic over the past 48 hours. I have no idea as to how this topic ever
commenced as there is no basis behind the story. Understandably this has
evoked much passion from our members and fans.

As previously mentioned we have no intention of removing the Heritage
strips from our playing kits. As a club and myself personally, I believe
these are an important component of our history and will ensure they
remain in place for the long term. To be totally honest, we have only
recently had NRL approval of new Heritage strips (both Wests and
Balmain) for the 2010 season. The designs of these garments and on-sale
dates will be released in due course. I am extremely confident that
these will be well supported by our members and fans.

For anybody who supported Scott Longmuir - this is all his legacy (and I know that via an hour long meeting I had with him in March)!

Scott (coming from a club that was established in 1967 & has no premiership to boast of and not one coming anytime soon) determined that the kids who now support the J-V are not interested in "ancient history"!

He had to go & Humphries (having worked at Qantas in its heyday) understands quality branding!
