My thoughts exactly. Richo acted as a CEO and Director of Football in a sense and helped Benji assemble the roster and build depth in the club (improve depth at least).

It’s going to be hard for any CEO to replicate both roles like Richo did and with Shaun’s impressive marketing and corporate background, the club will most likely need to recruit a competent Director of Football to help with pathways, retention and roster management.

Maybe Galea or even Neil Henry as a left field option?

always rated Neil Henry as a tactician but in terms of his ability to build pathways and cultivate a roster, I'm not 100% sure he has it in his wheelhouse.

Galea would be similar to Chris James at the Knights, in the sense of he's come thru the NRL's officiating department, plus he has some WT DNA. wouldn't hate it, but wouldn't love it either.

Shane Elford would be the ideal pick if we wanted someone who understands Wests Tigers but has had enough time outside of the system to understand what a good Football Department looks like, but I doubt he'd entertain it.

I wanted to like this guy but he’s already lost me on the fact that he is saying that the reserve team is there to celebrate our history. It’s very clear that the majority of the supporter base just wants to be known as a West Tigers in all grades.

We can celebrate our past by wearing a magpies or Balmain Tigers jersey once a year.. You cannot tell me we are united club if all the lower grade teams are marketed differently which is clearly a push from HBG.

Myself...I think it would be good to be all WTs...more as.a benefit to WTs not to see the Magpies out.
