Fainty, I was definately watching the same game as you, or maybe just consumed the same amount of drinks! :laughing:

I also thought Liam and Ayshford were good in defence.
 
surprised there hasnt been much mention of it. In my opinion Fulton's game had as much bearing as Lui's outstanding effort. Fulton was in everything defensively, played himself to a standstill and would have slept very well. He created the tightness around the ruck which was severely lacking against the eels. It was to me the most noticeable factor. there were several sets in a row where he made 3 or more of the tackles in and around the ruck and rarely gets caught wrong footed. he didnt play his best game in the All Stars but his form late last year and in that trial ranks him as one of the best second rowers in the game.

at one stage he had made 3 or 4 tackles in a set and the roosters dropped the ball. one of our players picked it up and looked behind for someone to throw it to so to take the ball up. Fulton was there, i think having a brether but caught the ball and smashed it up. typified his game the guy is a gun for us we should recognise it.

As important as nearly any other player in the team.

Roosters aren't amongst the more supported teams. They are only kept afloat by a few corporate.

PS they are fair weather friends and as the were probably not expecting to win didn't turn up.

Fulton is comparable to Gallen (in terms of player role,) with less mistakes in his game. His work on and off the ball is unreal.
 
By the way - Is it actually possible that Coach Sheens actually can spot talent a few years before the rest of us ie Rob Lui??

I know its only a handful of games where Lui has shone or even shown glimpses in his career so far, fingers crossed, Lui can put in together in 2011\. For me I will continue to support the player, the coach and the club.
 
Lui always had the talent. That was obvious when Crouching Tiger and I watched the first NYC trial game in Ulladulla a few years ago. As Warren Mac stated at the time it was all about his maturity as a footballer catching up with his talent.
 
Great win by the tigers, it has taken 4 years but we have finally done it. It looks like the cup will be in our trophy room this year.

No, not possible. There are some special people on this forum who are the true experts in identifying talent and quite rightly point out Sheens is a bumbling fool who knows little about rugby league and is damn lucky to have had any career at all. :laughing:

These are the same people who wanted to cut Bryce Gibbs but keep Ryan Tandy…
 
Tigers picked out Lui a while ago Heard that they gave up on Travis Burns when he was at Eagles so they could sign him from under cowboys noses
 
And in regards to Liam Fulton he reminds me so much of Bradley Clyde Absolute workhorse If only they could get about another 5-10 kilos on him he be devastating ball runner as well

oh btw, just before i entered the SFS, i saw that mutt anthony watts, felt like running up to him and giving him a piece of uncle el and aunty bow ….
