First off - Twal is a big loss in our forward pack because at least he does some of the clean up work.

Twal is a big loss for the tab, I back him most weeks to score a try. I’m Devo’d even if we’re getting flogged I can still cheer for a Twal try.

If it's true, and who knows, I think it is perception management. Without explicitly mentioning Madge the club has been clear about a few welfare issues, Doueihi, Utoikamanu and now Twal. It could be a bit of a gamble to concede the season but start making us look like a good place to play. Sheens has talked a bit about looking out for people's futures etc...

I have been very vocal about management, partly because they suck at perception management, but IF this is what they're doing I'd say it's the right call. And if they aren't thinking it, they should be trying everything at this point.
