WestsTigersForum.com is now on Discourse

honestly, i gave up on phones / iPad. I check on a PC but its still rough to navigate.

No biggie. just my thoughts, I'm sure it'll work itself out. Best of lucks guys.

I only use my phone. It’s easy to navigate and is less clunky. It’s just a matter of getting used to the differences. As far as ads go - download Adblock.

I agree. I appreciate the hard work, and I don’t mind an overhaul, but this doesn’t work for me. I find myself on here less and less (no doubt a few will like the revamp even more now 😂)

I can get around in this new system but definately prefer what we had before. The acid test will be on each and every game day.
I really appreciate the effort and devotion Kul and others have put into this system we have now but to an old bugger like me i do find it more difficult,i am sure the younger you are the easier it would be

I mostly visit this forum on PC, and occasionally on mobile, but I mostly like it. I like the scrolling down to read posts, and the way I can easily see what new posts have been written and how I can navigate there usually pretty easily.

The advertising is a pain, but I could get some sort of Adblocker and I haven't so it can't be too bad for me. I missed seeing who was replying to who, but I've learned how to see that now, by clicking on the picture of who the person replied to, the reply comes up.

I appreciate the work Kul, and suggestions for improving are how about a tailored homepage for the user where I can just go to new threads for Wests Tigers (I don't care so much the non WT stuff). We probably already have that i just haven't learned how to use it yet.

If you click on the tags our use categories to search you can go straight to those topics..eg if you click on the ManlysSeaEagles tag all topics involving Manly that are tagged are displayed

Your feedback is appreciated everyone, thanks.

What I'm hearing is:

* Some people find it hard to navigate around. Is this within topics or between threads?
* Too many ads. Well this is an easy fix; I've just decreased the amount by 20%.

While I hate to sound pedantic, if you encounter an issue (either a technical or user-experience one) then please take a screenshot and comment about it here. Perhaps there are some simple fixes.

It would be wrong to rule out rolling back if the issues are significant enough.

Personally I find the site much easier to use, it's so much smoother and displays well. Nice things like auto updating threads (two people have replied as I've typed this up and I've seen their posts appear live) make it a pleasure to use. I'm a sample size of one though 😂

I think I prefer it as well. It hides quotes and replies well so it's not so messy. I can ignore threads I'm not interested in.

Ads aren't a problem for me but I use an ad-blocker.

Don’t forget Kul, the vast majority are very happy - just don’t send posts telling you that. Your aim to ensure everyone is comfortable is to be applauded but don’t lose sight of the fact this is a great platform that most people enjoy navigating through . Thanks for all your work

The more you interact with the site the easier it becomes IMO

A few things I've stumbled upon that makes it easier to navigate is the use of the tags or search categories..for eg if you click on the ManlySeaEagles Tag all topics that are tagged with Manly appear..for what ever season..same with Round01..I would encourage users that start threads to add a tag..it's a few extra clicks…

Suggested topics or related topics are a feature I also like..

I find it pretty easy to just navigate from the latest posts sections, shows me when topics I'm interested in are updated.

I’m happy with the user interface and find it easy to navigate and quick to load. The only issue I’m experiencing is that the screen jumps around when I’m trying to read posts and scroll. I think @Kul said he was working on fixing that in one of his prior posts, but I’m still experiencing it.

Yep, It’s been flagged with the developers.
We are not the only ones experiencing it. You should notice a bit of an improvement already but a proper fix is coming.

I’m liking it, more intuitive and natural than the old one. Enjoying the live threads the most, that will probably be an even bigger benefit on more active threads like live game. Where it will actually be live and won’t have to refresh/flick between pages for new posts.

Only issues are the ones already mentioned by others - the amount of ads which I can see is already improved and the skipping at certain intervals when scrolling through a thread.
