What a buy Pom #2 is proving to be!

Ok… early times but the last 2 weeks... Flanagans work-rate has seemed phenominal! He's hitting hard and hit holes! I didn't expect much and like most thought it would be a while (if at all) before we see a first grade player! At the rate he's going... he'll be an AWESOME buy for the Tigers...

Here is my thoughts

yes, i agree…another young guy with loads of potential!! And fulfilling some of that last 2 weeks.

he has good speed for a backrower also

He has been playing very well. He again looks super fit. The ball that Ellis gave him around the corner was a great ball but it was great for Flanagan to be there.

The little weave he put on last week just prior to Lotto running 70 metres to score was good as well.

Blokes like Gower and co will be forced to step up.

Competition for spots is what we need.

Well said Bug…

Was it Flanagan that gave the inside ball for Benj'i first try....?

Yeah it was … he doesnt panick when he gets into space merely summs up the situation and , so far at least, chooses the right option.

Two try assists from three games is a good start for a hard working backrower.

It shows that we have started to by some players who actually add something to the team. Not just blokes who play one or two games and are never seen in 1st grade again. Flannagan looks like a great player.

James Graham would be sweet - have been watching this bloke for a few years and he is all quality - I have read somewhere though that another club may be signing him shortly - hope it is us!!!

It's been well documented that Flanagan has come to the Tigers as quite a raw player, but it's obvious he has talent and is a fast learner. He struggled coming off the bench against Manly and copped a nasty headcut which is why he wore the headgear last week, but against the Roosters he was one of the Tigers best, and was given the Players Player award, and he was good again last night, running hard, defending well and supporting well.

Looks to be adapting well to the speed of NRL and if he can put on another 3-4kg it will help him further I reckon.

I like to rap our recruitment guys here. I agree they have got much wrong in the last couple of years but Flanagan recruitment showed great foresight. He is a real talent and will be a very handy buy for the tigers.

I heard he played some 5/8 in England he certainly has some good ball skills and a high work rate. Our back row is looking very strong this year.

was great again tonight.

**who is the next pom we can bring over?**

I would go for Lee Mossop, a 20yo second rower/prop at Wigan, he is off contract at the end of this season and i know the Bulldogs are after him.
