Ryan is pretty quick off the mark. He can accelerate very quickly although isnt very quick at all over long distances.

Reminds me very much of Hodges at the same age. Hope he develops in the same way, not including the loopy stuff of course :slight_smile:
 
what blake ashyford needs? a good winger on the outside who isn't slow and follows him when he makes a break (Y)

I completely disagree with this statement now.
 
Very very good at breaking the tackle and being ready to offload. Ryan outside him doesn;t do him any favours at all.
Still needs to work on his decision making in defence but was spot on tonight.
Last couple of weeks have demonstrated why he needs to stay in 1sts and learn the rest of his trade.
 
I thought Blake played great last night, every time he touched the ball he looked dangerous needed more support but hopefully that comes.

I still believe that lawrence and brown are our best options when available.

But last night AYSHFORD had his best game this year,he stepped up and needed to.

x 2…. would be great to have a FB like hodgo hangin' around any half break in support as well. whilst i agree with loyalty to players that have done the job in the past it might be time to give ryan a break. i still think the tigers are the team that others finalists would least like to play, including the illawarra gunna's ( every year this mob is ' gunna win the comp ' and every year is the same story ) /chokers.
