best trick if you must lower yourself to his level (and who can blame you? its FUN!!) is to take it all on board, and then condescendingly say. "It's alright mate, I understand your frustration, and anger. You go for Manly."
I work with a doggies supporter and a dragons supporter.... and when the dragons lost to the sharks I said nothing to him about it all day. After lunch, we spoke about the tigers game, and a few other games and he couldn't resist biting about Tim Sheens (he's got a real unjustified problem with Sheens) and had obviously forgotten his boys lost to the sharks.
I just reminded him that for all the money that Bennett is paid, and the Quality the dragons have across the park, that they lost to the Sharks...
Shut him up for the rest of the day. :smiley:

The Manly Sea Eagles today suspended forwards Anthony Watmough and Terence Seuseu for a week and fined them a week’s wages after the pair were fined for urinating on The Corso at Manly on Sunday night.
Watmough and Seuseu will miss Saturday’s match against the Cronulla Sharks at Toyota Park after the club conducted an investigation after learning police charged them with offensive conduct. The players were given an on the spot fine of $220 when caught urinating on a shopfront at the corner of the Corso and Whistler St. at 9.25 p.m.
Manly CEO Graham Lowe said the behavour of the players was unacceptable.
“They have embarrassed themselves and the club and its sponsors and supporters – they have shown great remorse for their silly action and will pay a heavy penalty,” Lowe said.
Watmough and Seuseu offered the following joint statement:
“We are bitterly disappointed with our actions and for the fact that we have let our team mates, our families and our supporters down.
“It was a careless and stupid thing to do and we accept the suspension without complaint.”

Manly supporters I know hate me bringing up losing a grand final to an illegal team and not getting title . The fact that they could not find their own players in late 70's so stole every Wests player and this might not be politically correct but Ian Roberts does the trick if all else fails . Had my brother in law (Manly supporter) so upset he spent two minutes bagging me and the Tigers at his own wedding night speech . That in my eyes was a win as some people were quite upset at his rant .
