I hadn't had a Guinness since a Bucks night many years ago when the only drink you could drink was Guinness ....got royally messed up and even a Guinness ad ...made my feel bad

Had a couple over the weekend ......as the Irish say "baby's milk" ......

Never had one in Ireland so can't make a personal comparison but all the Irish say the Guinness made in Asutralia is goats........ don't mind it myself. 🙂

Well all the Victorians i know reckon VB is better in Qld

When XXXX is your other option, I reckon VB would taste great.

XXXX is a better drop than VB ..
VB is a headache in a bottle .
Carlton draught and Melbourne bitter are palatable ( just)
Crownies are just VB with a posh label ..lol?

I like the European pale lagers like Peroni , Stella , Heineken etc ..
If I go a pale ale it has to be Kosciusko.
I bought my old man a slab yesterday...
Tooheys “old” .. he loves it .. says there’s a meal in every bottle ?

I was told years ago that Crown Lager actually is another beer, repackaged, from memory DA? Edit: Cant be DA. ones a Lager, the other an Ale.

White Bay Pale Ale is good and they're also opening up a tasting bar at the brewery in Balmain. They also do some nice crafts with Little Marionette coffee.

I don’t mind a drop of that. The bottles are ok, brewed in Thailand, but prefer the cans which are brewed in Japan. Goes great with some teppan nosh ?

I only drink the silver bullets.

Tried it years ago. I'm guessing I thought it was not bad but not great as I can't remember! The shockers and the gems usually stick.

Agree, it’s not the best region. I prefer the limestone coast, or Barossa for Shiraz and Margaret River for the Cab savs. Not too fond of the imported wines.

Nailed it. Although if Im unsure, red from Margaret River is always safest.
