im sorry but i cant respect anyones opinion who thinks gibbs was worse then hayne's, thats just stupid talk.

For mine - Gibbs' and Haynes incidents were both the same - careless Grade 1\. Gibbs should have been given a grade 1 - the incorrect decision was made in that regard for mine. Hayne should also have been given a grade 1 - correct decision made.

Those stating we would have made the 8 if Gibbs wasn't suspended - give yourself an uppercut - It made no difference to our season at all.

i can respect your opinion on this but gibbs was charged with a grade 2 and to say his was more dangerous or even on par with haynes (grade 1) is stupid.

haynes knee hit flush to the side of the head of goodwin, he made the choice to go knees first, he risked knocking goodwin out and taking him out of the game and got off scott free, anyone who leads with knees for feet next year who get charged with anything more then a grade one have the prime example to get a down grade ot to even get off.

Merritt missed a week for leading with the feet and he didnt even make contact with the player gibbs grazes burts backside and gets 3 weeks.

thurston boots a player in the head causing possible eye sight problem and hayne knees a player in the head and they dont serve time. I guess its just a coincidence that these 2 players are the face of the NRL aswell.

Can you give me next draws lotto numbers too?

You have no idea how it would of effected our season. We went into the Titans match with 2 props on the bench iirc. Another prop would of made a huge difference, no one knows how much impact it would of made.

Vossy is supporting Gibbs on the Roast.

They were arguing that Hayne's offence was in an important game and Vossy brought up how each of our games were sudden death to make the finals. MG called out Vossy as being a Tigers supporter

One of the ABC blokes seems to be on our side too (well, mine anyway) and the ABC TV keeps on running and comparing the Gibbs' clip with the Hayne 'accidental knees'. We shoudn't forget that Hayne got away with 2 'accidental elbows' to Tigers' heads in that Parra. game - the judiciary also found that he had no cases to answer. Ah what it is to be an NRL favourite.

Tigh it doesnt matter how you justify this to yourself, Gibbs was charged with a grade 2…..his tackle was half as bad as Haynes.....Hayne should have recieved a minimum of a grade 2.....it really is that simple when you have a precedent like that.

As for your claim that gibbs wouldnt have made a difference exactly what are you basing that on??

I'm not trying to justify anything to myself - I am merely stating my opinion! An opinion that seems to have been backed up by an official ruling.

**Your** opinion that Gibbs' knee in the kidenys (when coming in from a very slight angle and could have pulled out at any time as he was never comiitted to a tackle) was any less serious than Hayne's (who was coming in at speed at 90 degrees committed to a tackle but had to pull out at the last split second - and unfortunately went bad) is your opinion. Thats fine.

I beieve both incidents should have been graded the same. I think the Hayne outcome was correct. I think the Gibbs outcome was wrong. Now I am no bible man - but I do remember my mum telling me "two wrongs don't make a right!" Consistency is what is needed, and we didn't get that.

As for Gibbs and the semi's - my comment was made to be just as stupid as those that said we would have made the semi's if he was there. Ridiculous statement in return for a ridiculous statement.

I hope that clears it up for you!

Personally I do think Gibbs' was worse because he could have easily avoided the collision whereas Hayne arrived at the same time. Gibbs arrived a lot later than Hayne. To be honest at the time I thought Bryce was being an idiot.

Anyway I guess I'm another person who's opinion you don't respect because it differs from your own…

If anything, Gibbs' absence probably helped us…

Can you explain how?

I don't see how Halatau helped more than Gibbs would in the Titans game when we were 1 prop down. I don't even think Morris played for all that long himself.

We lost 12 (or so) games throughout the season - you can't possibly base us missing the semi's on Gibbs being suspended for one of those losses. Anyway, getting back to topic - it's great to see Hayne playing on Sunday - it would have been atravesty if he had have missed the GF.

I'm glad that the gf will feature a parra side with Hayne in it as the storm would absolutely flog them without him, rendering the game boring.

However the bigger traversty is that he got off. Both he and Grothe led with their knees into Goodwin…..there's only one outcome when that happens - the scorer is injured through illegal play.

Buckets and his mates are gutless.

We missed out on the 8 by 1 point. A win would have got us into the finals.

Anyways, in a way it is good that God is playing. Gives me hope that Slater will out shine him
