Been really impressed by McIllwrick, we haven't lost anything from Farah.

McIilwrick starts and plays the opening 25-30min. He then goes to the bench and is our back-up for any backrow injuries/interchange etc.
Liddle plays out the match.
I did notice Matt and JLJ switching in defence alot on Saturday to _to allow Matt to last longer minutes. I'm not sure you have that luxury once Luke come back?_
_Yeah, thought that may have been to limit Hess a little as well._
_That plan didn't work too well then :laughing:_

_Understand the laughter, but had Matt been there more often maybe JLJ doesn't get trampled._
@ said:Yes you keep both. I think McIlrwick would re-sign having been given a chance by the club and if given a 2 year option i certainly think he'll take it.
Liddle - towards the end of the season you'd want to start looking at an extension. His defense last night was outstanding. Took Taumololo down one-on-one right on the line. The bigger, stronger and more experienced he gets and he'll be an elite player. But i wouldn't rush his minutes yet. Playing 30 odd mins a game is good for now and MM is a perfect foil: Cheap, skillful and hard working, but not an 80 min player that will get cranky if he's not playing full games.
@ said:Yeah I was supportive of Ballin's signing but it's more than apparent now that he will just never get right. Matty Mc and Liddle are the way forward.

I used to change it all the time, I just really liked the tiger and the bird.

Certainly solved the hooker dilemma..
