What happens with the jerseys

What happens with the jerseys once they are no longer needed?
I know some of them are auctioned off or given to charity, but what happens to the rest? Do the players keep them or give them away?

I have often wondered this. Especially nowadays where it looks like they are extremely difficult to get in and out of.
How many games would a jersey last for?

I saw a young kid at the game last night with blake ayshfords jersey from last year, i asked him how he got it, he said he just asked him after our round 26 game against Melbourne. Think i might give it a shot later on lol

I remember a few years back the club sold match worn jerseys for something like $80 each at a game against the bulldogs. It would be interesting to find out where they wind up.

They have three sets of each jersey design (two of the heritage or one-off jerseys). The players get to keep one of each, the game-day staff (most of if not all or whom are volunteers), are given one each as a thank you at the end of year, and in recent years the rest have been given to sell at the members day towards the end of the year with the rest of the marked down stuff.

I've been given a couple & bought a few at the the games. They sell them at the season start home games.

Do the players mums still take turns washing the Jerseys. Or does that stop once they get into first grade?

I know the 20's got to keep their GF jerseys. And deservedly so! LOL

As for washing during the season, the 20's had to take their shorts and socks home to be washed but the club washed the jerseys…. Don't know who though!

Sheensie gave them a final wash, rinse and spin as a token goodwill gesture upon departing the club

Game jerseys get dry cleaned each week and players get jerseys at season end.
Sometimes there is a surplus if they have say 4 different people play the same position in 1 year then there may be 4 different sized jerseys
Say last year benji and sirro and fultz all played 6 , but different sizes so there would be a few different no 6 jerseys and then there are diffrent strips as well ,but say teddy moltz and Ryan all played 1 and they would be same size so there would be only 1 jersey with a no 1 on
it
