What is a successful 2026 for the Tiger's

Even us dopes here saw all off-season that the depth at hooker was an issue … what’s the plan ? Just hope your 33 yr old hooker is doing the job all year ?

There is an old saying … Hope isn’t a plan …. Works on two levels for the Tigers this year … if they have any money left they have to find someone around the league or England and bring them in
 
In mid June they have a run of Titans, Dolphins , Knights and Dragons …

That will decide whether they are a Top 8 chance …gotta win three of those four … which is a possibility with their players hopefully back … if they are still out the season is over anyway then …

You go on a run of three out of four and you can move up from 12th to 4th in this comp
 
Top four is a pipe dream. Top eight is a chance but we have to jag two wins out of our next four games and with most of our spine out for a few weeks it’s going to be a really tough ask. I think Benji has to make some smart calls when the team is selected, but my gut feeling he will stick with the same team as much as possible

I’ll be happy if they go 1-3 , because the 4 after that they should go 3-1 with Bula and Api back,,, they only need to win half their games to make the 8 from here… they can’t lose the next 4 though , because 5 game losing streaks are season killers …

If he picks the same right-side backs as last game, there's only one prediction ahead for us poor supporters, pain.

Fair enough call mate,however after all the spoons we have earned to me a top 10 finish would be sensational ...
You have to remember that injuries,club dramas and depth we have all come into calculation...
Let's just hope we stay in the fight and finish the season off strongly...
 
I would accept a top 8 finish with a positive for and against that has defence improvements as that is what builds a team culture. We have always had the flair to throw the ball around, just need the side to show we are a solid defensive unit and apart from our last game we have shown it this year.

This week is extremely important to show what we are made of in my opinion

Yep us vs a Storm side that has been loosing...

We are missing a stack of players, but are getting KPP back at least.
Storm get Hughes ...

Will be a real test of our metal. With their halfback back and Grant at Hooker while were missing Api...
Were going to have a tough time.

I couldnt call 9th or 10th sensational...regardless of any factors

I. The first 9 weeks showed Decembers dramas didnt affect them
II. Depth = its our own doing, some very poor decisions, Geyer, Will Craig, Star Toas ridiculous extension etc
III. The injury gods havent been kind but see point II.
 
If we win this weekend, we will make the top 8. Melbourne in Melbourne with our spine decimated and no Sam Fainu.

If we win hopefully we release Toa. He is shit.
 
With the injury toll we have at present top eight will be tough. If you took the 1 7 9 and best backrower out of any team they would struggle to beat any team in the competition. Okay we get our nine back in a couple of weeks but our 7 and 1 are both at least a month away or more. Seriously can’t see us winning a game till there back.

Iam not being negative it’s just our coverage for 1 and nine is non existent.
 
No injuries, we were on the way to top 4. That's how good our starting 17 were playing.

These injuries tho are gonna hit hard. If we make the 8 we've done extraordinarily well this year. But because of our start anything less than finals will still feel like a failure even tho i'm on record saying anything above the previous year's placement should be considered a success.

These next 6 weeks are crucial. 3 wins would be great. But without Doueihi, Bula, Samuela... I don't feel so confident.
