What is wrong with some of you?!

I thought Anasta @ Half would of been good, but he had a shocker, Ayshford had a shocker. Ayshford didnt look interested last night, while Benji didnt have a great game i thought he at least had a go. We just didnt do the little things right last night & before we were on the board we were gone. One good thing from last night was that Sirro has to play 2nd Row next year.

Seriously, I'm bamboozled by some of the relentless negativity by some people. Do any of you even think that maybe you are the cause of some of the bad performances?

Teddy, basically on his rookie year and coming off a knee recon getting blasted?! The kid has potential, give him some god damn time! He isn't even playing that bad.

Lawrence, sure, he is struggling, but the bloke is a great guy, has been awesome for us in bad years and deserves our respect. Let him at least have a bad year and see out the contract that we were all ecstatic that he signed at the time.

Benji…don't even get me started. The bloke rebuilt the image of this club after our hoppoate years. Give him some respect and let him go out on a high. Sure he has his faults, and him leaving reeks of ego, but obviously is trying his heart out and loves this club.

Anasta.... Well actually, yep, he needs to pick up his game!

Just chill guys. We have happy days ahead. Lets look at the positives... And just maybe positive supporters might have a positive effect on the team - crazy I know...

GF Hammertime. Don't tell me how to support my team. It's called venting. It's been happening since 1908\. Nobody wishes ill on any player. They get paid well to do a job so I reserve the right to vent.. Got it???

Alex, pretty clear that Anasta is not up to it anymore and I can see little gained by continuing with Ayshford - he has been inept for 2yrs. Not a knee jerk.

From post match interview with the coach it seems Marshall is not following instructions and should be warned to follow game plan or his farewell tour will come to an abrupt halt.

You're wasting your breath Hammertime the negative retards who frequent this site wouldn't know a carefully thought out argument if it was tattooed on their elongated neandathal foreheads.

I wasn't talking about just Anasta…

Yes Anasta had a bad game, I agree. But I'm being a little empathetic too. He came here under the impression he'd be playing in the halves, with Benji, under Sheens. Round 1, he's in the backrow under Potter. Played there all year, and on top of not playing much football, gets told to play halfback in Rd 20\. While there's no excuse for some of his brain fart dropped balls and poor passes, I can understand why the halves didn't look crisp last night.

Not crisp…..He looked like a fish out of water. He should be experienced enough to handle this.

Plus don't go on television and say you don't know where you fit in....this is the height of unprofessionalism. You do the job the coach asks you to do. They clearly went away from the game plan tonight and tried stuff that they couldn't execute. Its going to be a long week.

A loss isn't the same without a true supporter thread.

I think you made Anasta throw that pass 20m behind the reciever…why'd you do that?

Do any of you even think that maybe you are the cause of some of the bad performances?

I - however, am the reason Nofoluma soared 25m vertically and grabbed haleys comet to place it 3mm insde the touch in goal line...thank me now

praising him on a fan forum also wont improve anything. i'll clap him off when he plays his last game for us and i'd say gday to him in the street, but its **really** hard to support him in these last few games (no matter how much he has done in the past) when he is playing so so badly. him and anasta were horrible.

I beg to differ.

Firstly, you don't know if he reads this and secondly, how does this translate into our broader culture. Sure, the players may not read thIs, but how about fellow supporters!

I can tell you that it being negative is only going to do damage to the club you love,no matter what forum, the only variable is by how much.

I do agree with anasta tho…terrible! He continues to hurt the tigers, even when on our side!

Hammertime, Please!!! You can't be one minute on the forum telling everyone to be positive then the next minute giving it to Braith. Yeah last night was not one of his finer games, but I as a fellow Wests Tigers supporter can't understand that out of last nights game you can defend how Benji played and his below par performances for the most part of the season.Yes Benji did help rebuild the image of the club, with the key word being "did" but his actions over the past few weeks has all but seen him turn his image building on it's head. So in closing Hammertime keep up the positive feedback, but remember it is starting to sound a bit "hypocritical." You can't have your cake and eat it too. :sign:

I hate coming on here after a loss because there's always three or four "X should never play first grade again", even though the week before when we won there were several threads saying "omg put X as captain".

Fair dinkum, some people on here have the biggest knee jerk reactions

So when players haven't played a decent game for the better part of two seasons are earning probably 8-10 time what some on here do they shouldn't cop criticism

And then the club feels it has the right to make us feel like we are letting he club down if we don't become members

No wonder I won't fork out $1200 to come see a Tigers game live

Hypocrites

Sorry, but I don't think comparing them to supporter's salaries is really a legitimate argument.

But, obviously Braith should cop criticism for his efforts the other night. However, we will need him next year so i would try to give him a chance to ammend for his poor effort against manly. Without him we could be pretty screwed for 2014\. I dont want Moltzen and Brooks or Sirro and Brooks as a combo. Moses is too light and we need someone experienced to guide brooks through.

we are all just very dis-appointed with how the season has turned out.
yes the positive have been the younger players getting in and having a good, which shows good promise for the up coming season.

but we are watching the team compete now, and no nice way of putting it, only that season 2013 sucks

 **that's what's wrong with all of us.**

Would help if we had a 6 or 7 that took on the line instead of passing or kicking the ball. Very predictable gives no hope for the outside backs. I was at the game on Monday night and every chance we got to attack we would look to Simona. How sad no one looked like breaking the line except him. Benji despies to run the ball or get tackled !!!! Can't cop it anymore, just take on the line….

Forwards really put in, Blair was good, Sue as well. Galloway was back and doing good things after a long lay off. Ava is making real progress. Sirro showed a lot of spark and a view of whats to come.

Simona is a bloody legend and Nofo put on a try that will be replayed for the next 12 months.

Yea! In my eyes you really hit the nail on the head, whereas other posters missed the nail entirely.

I do ,when the club wants you to become a member and buy merchandise and come to games we have a right to some expectations and if we don't get those expectations we have a right to complain

The OP thinks we should stick these guys on a pedestal and turn them into protected species

In the real world if you don't perform you can't turn around and say " the last ten times every thing was OK , so just forget about it , I promise next time I'll be better ,and then next week comes and you offer the same crap up etc etc etc "

That's exactly what Benji seems to think is ok .

Realistically, what they are doing is what they call in baseball "playing out the string". Between the players who know they're gone and the ones who must suspect they are, plus others who are basically knackered at this point having put in far too many minutes in an injury-ravaged season, it's no great surprise that performances are tailing off (from a not very high starting point!).

Of course it's possible to argue that they're professionals and ought to make more of an effort, but it's not realistic and in some cases probably not possible given how overworked they've been (I'm talking in this case about players like Buchanan here - a rookie asked to play veteran minutes). There's probably a case for dropping someone like Ayshford purely on performance but to be honest I'd rather have him out there running the risk of serious injury than anyone else. It's not as if our kids haven't had plenty of exposure already this season - let the dead wood take their lumps for the remaining, pointless, games.

I guess my point is that I don't think any of this really means much at all for 2014\. There are pretty big changes coming to this roster and what a bunch of demoralised, exhausted, one foot out of the door players do over the next month or so doesn't indicate much either way.

Whether I'd be queuing up to buy a ticket to either of our remaining home games, especially given the oppo, I'm far from convinced. Personally I'm out of the country for one of them and will probably show up to the other but only because I'm a member and I suppose I probably ought to see Marshall's last home game. But I'm not expecting much and I'm not going to draw a bunch of conclusions about 2014 based on what happens either.

Just chill guys. We have happy days ahead. Lets look at the positives... And just maybe positive supporters might have a positive effect on the team - crazy I know...

I made a thread a few weeks ago regarding Lawrence suggesting he become the understudy to Farah. Why, because I too know he is a great guy, but he is no longer able to compete in the centres since his hip injury. People said he cant pass! How hard would it be for a player of his caliber to reinvent himself and adapt his game to a position where he will further his career with the full support of the club and fans.
All I know is at the moment he will targeted as a weakness in our defense week after week by smart opposition coaches and players.

Anasta was a poor signing.

Blair since his move to the front row has improved and was one of our best on Monday, after we were calling for his head. So sometimes negativity has a positive effect especially when it is not just the fans who can see it, as the media highlighted so ruthlessly.

Teddy has a problem he has to overcome with putting himself off balance before he comes to the defensive line. It is a mental problem the club needs to work on with him in a positive manner.

Benji is Benji, now a political hotcake for the club, so he will most likely get to 200 barring injuries no matter how he plays. I will say this it would not happen under other coaches or at other clubs.

I am chilled!
