Living Room - 55" Samsung Q60A QLED 4K

Media Room - 75" Samsung Q60A QLED 4K

Nice, the new QLEDs.

I have a 75" Q80T. Not overly happy with it though. Experiencing some vertical banding, especially when camera pans horizontally (apparently a known issue). Nothing too crazy, but noticeable enough to be distracting sometimes, especially while watching sports as the camera basically pans like I mentioned the whole time.

How do you find the new series?

What kinda phone you use?

Google Pixel 2.

Interesting.

Thought you'd stick solid with the Samsung.

Used to use Samsung Galaxy. Converted to Google.

I like them. Went from ancient Bravias and they were pieces of crap. Will never buy a Sony again.

I'm not a TV guru but these Samsung's go good. No complaints yet.

I use my monitor - Samsung Odyssey G9 49" Ultrawide.

Half the screen has the game, the other half the forum.

I'd have discord too, but my Sky Sports stream seems to always be 15-30seconds behind everyone there.

Looking to upgrade my Samsung 55" TV, not sure I'd use it for game day still, but wanting something bigger for the lounge.

How does the G9 go mate, good for the gaming?

Yeah, never has an issue with it.

I love it - though I use it for productivity not gaming.

Not a huge gamer, but keen to build a gaming PC that can make the most of it at some stage.

Samsung 4k 75" in the lounge-room.

Media room is always occupied by the kids on the 49" Kogan, so I jimmied up the 52" LG in the Garage that the missus heaven forbid wanted to give away to the PC, so I'm now running 2 x 22" LCD Monitors, and a 52" LCD as the third, that is exclusively used for Kayo pretty much.

Admittedly Im not brand specific these days - I usually buy the sweet spot for value/price at the time - there was a time where it all would have been exclusive SONY, or Samsung - but not so much anymore.

Even went back to the dreaded Iphone after many years as a Samsung user - but the iphone 12 pro max camera at the time was far too good to pass up.

The Hisense are great value.

I'm getting one for my outdoor area for those summer BBQ days ??

How do outside tv's fare as far as moisture goes?

Haven't sorted it out yet.

Might store it inside and then take it out for the footy or fights or movies under under stars type stuff.

Could always put it in a perspex box.

65" LG C7 OLED

I got the 65” LG OLED (it was about $4500 six months ago).
Not cheap but the picture quality is amazing. Doesn’t rely on over sharpening the image to get good clarity. Has a great colour range and very deep/ rich black in the shadow end.
Most TV never used to be able to have a very dark black. Generally darkest shade was more of a grey. Therefore the colour range was as good.

When I looked six months ago I had the samsung and LG side by side (at Bing Lee) both were approx $4000 -$4500. The picture quality of the LG (OLED) was noticeably better.
So I went with that and I’m been very happy with it. Other than it doesn’t seem to connect to my Yamaha sound bar.

Owned a Pioneer Kuro Plasma before this, they were renowned for the blacks, it wasn't until OLEDs came out before anything could match them. Having the ability to do good blacks has a real impact on the TV's contrast, LCD just can't complete.

Same, owned one as well. Those Kuros were the best of the Plasmas.

I've got a 55" Philips ambilight tv. The ambilight is unreal. It doesn't make a huge difference for the footy, but for video games and movies it's unreal. I can't see myself ever having a tv without ambilight again.

What console do you use?

PS4 for now. It's been impossible to get a PS5 in Europe.

I've also got a retro emulator console which is good craic too.
