One of Joan's many albums was sang entirely in Spanish and was basically a tribute to all South Americans who had endured continual USA interference in their local politics over the decades.I rate Joan Baez along with Edith Piaf as among the greatest female singers of the 20th century(Bessie Smith also deserves a mention)
