Such am interesting voice, I had to look her up, and found this:

In her own words in 2007:

I am proud to combine the two cultures of Ladino and flamenco, while mixing in Middle Eastern influences. I am embarking on a 500-year-old musical journey, taking Ladino to Andalusia and mixing it with flamenco, the style that still bears the musical memories of the old Moorish and Jewish-Spanish world with the sound of the Arab world. In a way it is a ‘musical reconciliation’ of history.

She is honoring her father's work.

I saw her at the Opera House about 10 yrs ago. 🙂
At that time, I was already familiar with Indian/Pakistani music, and my preference were "classical"
qawwali and ghazals on the poems of Rumi and Amir Khusrau (14-century Persian philosophers, poets, mystics - thay could be described as equivalent to Confucious, Buda, Marcus Aurelius or relatively modern Kahlill Gibran
