What song are you listening to?

Isn't the definition of Hell supposed to be "Being locked in a room with the world's best stereo system and just one recording. A copy of John Denver's greatest hits"

The rest of my joke is that it was the best birthday present ever!

12th of October 1997. Someone once gave me a hard time over saying that and I told them that anyone that dies in a plane crash in a plane they built themselves deserves ridicule!

The song of the moment

What a great time to be young @bathursttiger1.
The surfing music era of 1963 + the Wests Magpies V St George grand finale at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
I wasn't a bleached blonde stompy wompy surfer boy, but a mate of mine back then did have bleached hair and a Mini with the obligatory surf board strapped on top.
While he was getting wet in the surf, I was getting wet in the rain at the S.C.G. on Grand Final day.

I was at that game too. Absolutely soaked, I ran down to the fence after the game as Sticks and Summons came together as they walked toward the oval exit. I was just a few meters behind the newspaper journalist taking that famous shot. The popping sound of the bulb in his camera as it momentarily lit up an otherwise dark afternoon was something I had never heard before.

Wow! @trentrunciman Your taste in music is a lot more up to date and modern than mine. I'm still stuck in the 70's and 80's mostly.
Atm I am listening to a live recording from Denver in 1979 of one of the greatest rock n roll bands ever, being Roxy Music performing 'Manifesto'.

Roxy where great Brian Eno and Phil Manzanera are exceptional musos,Ferry always got the accolades but they had talent in the whole band.801 was an offshoot of the band and i always thought that they where better than Roxy but not as popular.

Thanks for that suggestion re 801 @jadtiger.
I'll certainly have a listen to them, as a whole new world of music has opened up since I have been on Spotify.
I gotta say I love drumming and I love music that has the drummer as the prominent member of the band.
