What a great song @sheer64. It takes me all the way back to when I was that age and what I missed out on cause I was a good boy. A few years later many people considered I was a ....well, not good....and I have been paying for it ever since.
I implore anyone that is suffering from depression....or just not happy enough with what is happening in their life, to talk to a Psychologist and be prepared to be honest and open about 'everything', with that person.
Dont leave it till you are my age....70+.

One of my favourite songs by Paula Cole. A very powerful song if you take the time to listen to the lyrics. - "I am wearing my new dress tonight but you don't even notice me"

Mazzy Star - I enjoy the understated sound and lyrics

Eddie Brickhill - Paul Symonds wife and produced by Paul Symonds

You ol romantic @pawsandclaws1 (Paula Cole)

Not many will remember Laura Nyro, whom tragically died from cervical cancer in her early 40s. Her song writing talent reminds me of Carol King. Her songs Wedding Bell Blues, Stoney End and And When I Die were covered by the Fifth Dimension, Barbara Streisand and Earth Wind and Fire and became huge hits for them. A super talent gone way too young RIP Laura.

Yeah I'll admit to liking this song, simple beat but it works but lyrically it just works too. I normally listen to hard rock/industrial but every so often songs like this come along which are just good to listen to. Cornflake Girl by Tori Amos is quite brilliant, love the piano tones in that one, plus her voice is amazing.

Tori Amos would be one of my 3 favourite women vocalists alongside Edith Piaf and Bessie Smith. In my mind all 3 of them are legends of music and i dont use that term lightly, all 3 of them suffered from being women and treated terribly by men.My favourite song by Tori Amos would be "Me and a gun " and it is pure emotion like the other 2 she is brilliant.(Warning)It is about when she was raped after a concert in LA by a so called fan and she sings it without any backing. She writes nearly all her own material and is a standout artist imho.If you havent heard her music you should ,she is extremely talented

David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes

Great song. How appropriate, it’s been that sort of day.

Hurt - Rapture. A lyrically powerful and emotional song:

Was scrolling YT today and a song called Patience came up in my recommends by Chris Cornell. I thought “it couldn’t be”.

Turns out it was. Idk how I feel about it. His voice is unreal, but I might need to listen to it a few times to see if it grows on me

Heard this for the first time yesterday. Definitely not bad. Like you I might need to listen to it a few times, but it's at least as good as the original I think.

Bos Scaggs on guitar is brilliant. The guitar is a semi hollow body model EE335 style hand built in Santa Rosa by the late Taku Sakashta. It's sound live is amazing.

Sevendust just dropped a new song called Dying To Live, she's a belter too:
