I first saw both bands live at Luna Park. The Riptides were a Brisbane band and the lead singer, Mark Callaghan, went on to form Gangajang. The Riptides were a great band live. Imagine hearing INXS live at Luna Park! This was one of the songs they played.

Spy v Spy were an underrated Sydney band. I first heard them live at the Trade Union Club, six levels if my memory is correct. This song resonated at the time when beautiful architecture in Sydney was being destroyed.

Two more songs from Spy v Spy. The song Sally Anne was of course written about Sally Anne Huckstepp and interestingly the lead singer says before singing it ' we all knew and looked after her'. The band were living in squats in Sydney for much of the time.
