The “new” Powderfinger album has some gems on it. In particular “rule of thumb”. It’s a pity they’re not around anymore, that bloke could sing a yellow pages & make it sound good.

The best version I ever heard was during the Australian Live Aid concert. It was the finale to the INXS set. It went brilliantly until the final notes when Michael’s voice broke. You could see how miffed and disappointment he was.
I do like the Grinspoon version, it has a lot of punch and energy.
