What song are you listening to?

Sorry had to add one more, this is what 2 talent singers can achieve with just a guitar.

I was fortunate enough to speak to him very briefly during one of his shows in 2011. It was actually a free show for the opening of the Rock Lily at Star City. The place fit 300 people and I was right in front of a stage that was about 3 mtrs wide. He only played an hour but was one of the highlights of the probably 1000+ gigs I have been to.

Leading up to and after seeing Tim Freedman last night I've been on a Whitlams binge.

The Whitlams - I will not go quietly.

The Whitlams have anew album out?

Good film clip, was written during the recent Armenia Azerbaijan war, System of a Down are all of Armenian background I think.

Sorry Cochise, Alice in Chains are the best grunge band of all time!

As for a wicked gig ,Monsters of Rock in 92’
Pantera’s performance is insane
Unknown number of people in attendance, live music was just deemed legal in communist Russia and this was one of the first Concerts with bands from the USA

Alice in Chains is awesome, angry chair is probably my favourite song of theirs.
Yeah I regret never seeing Pantera live!!

Best rock vocalist of all time.

I saw/heard him mogg the linkin park singer on their own song when they brought him out.

Chris and Chester were very close, Chester commited suicide on Chris' birthday a couple of months after Chris.

I once went to a Linkin Park concert just because Chris Cornell was the support act.

Chris wrote my favourite line in any song,

Well I just looked in the mirror
And things aren't looking so good
I'm looking California
And feeling Minnesota

Maybe they were more than friends?

Cornells death is a little suspicious, I read into the circumstances behind it all.
None of it, including Chester's makes sense.

But hey, the black dog can get anyone.

**I am here for any one if they need a chat
Don't be shy, adlays.
We gotta look out for each other**

Mate great post, being someone who suffers from depression it is so important to reach out.

I think Chris' death probably had more to do with America's over prescription of inappropriate drugs as treatment for depression than anything more sinister.

That's a whole'nother discussion.

Like everyone's man Robin Williams.

Take meds for depression.
Side effects include suicidal thoughts.
Great!

Be depressed and non medicated.
Or medicated and feel suicidal,
The choice is yours.

We've lost a lot over the years to drugs, suicide and even worse... stupid crimes.

R.i.P to all the fallen soldiers.

That early 90's grunge scene is just about all gone, Eddie Vedder being about the only big name left.

Now that's a super star.

Pearl Jam is my favourite band lol

Yeah great band. Loved nirvana too, Dave grohl live too is something else

I find Foo Fighter a little too linear musically, but they put on a great live show. Anyone who plays for 3 hrs is up there for me.

Best live bands
Pearl Jam
Dropkick Murphys
Soundgarden
Metallica
Shihad

Best live shows I have seen I think are Rammstein, Prodigy, Placebo and Slayer.
