What Song at the games?

This has been discussed a few times over the years. A popular off season topic it seems.

Two massive problems, its extremely challenging trying to find a song that fits and NRL clubs don't have the culture of singing like football clubs do. Even then, most A-League clubs struggle to find an 'anthem' that fits their club and that the fans like and will sing along to.

The song needs to be well known and have a slow rhythm, otherwise its just playing a pop song as music rather than inviting fans to sing.

People see YNWA at Liverpool games and think this is so simple - why doesn't my team do this? Because 99% of the time it doesn't work.

Agree. I suggested a few like this that were easy etc. Do you have any suggestions?

Is it even possible that our fans could get together to sing?

Might be hard given we have 3 grounds and not all supporters attend all 3 grounds.

The swans have completely knocked off the Boston Red Sox entertainment. The swans crowds get into it and sing along, not full on but it will grow. I guess both games go on for longer so they need some entertainment for the breaks.

If we had the reserve grade (mixture of fringe FG and NYC) opening for NRL and built those games then we could have fans at the games longer. people will spend more at the games as well.

Come On Feel The Noize by Quiet Riot wouldn't be a bad one to get the feet stompin'.

The Beast by Twisted Sister is another. Stay Hungry is another of theirs that is a gem.

Crazy Train by Ozzy Osborne gets a hammering in the NFL by many teams, the intro is good.

Forget inspiring the players

Inspire the refs

Simply display where their cars are parked on the big screen around the ground

Cecchin's is easy to spot. It's the Mighty Boy with those eyelash headlight cover things on it.

Getting the fans to actually turn up to games would be a good start but I go to the games to watch the footy, not sing bloody songs! It's a double edged sword anyway, when the singing stops you know the team is in deep excreta.

These are all great suggestions.

I think the Tigers members should meet up and create our own original songs. Music and lyrics. Like the Wanderers RBB.

I have thought about this topic quite allot recently. It is a great idea.

We could be starting something in the NRL here.
