What Song at the games?

I think some of us are thinking songs to be played over the PA. I was thinking more of chants we could do as fans. The games have so little fan interaction - we need a few good chants!!

Tedesco
Tedesco
Tedesco

Too easy!

Side note: I never liked that lame eye of the tiger cover over the PA "Wests…Wests Tigers.." etc. UGH! Lame!

Ive often thought the opposite. Imagine youre at a game with 15 or 20 thousand, or even more. WT runs out and you cheer madly. Opposition comes out and you dont make a single sound. No booing. No hissing, just deathly silence.

If that wouldnt be a little deflating and eerie for the away team, dont know what would.

Nice swordy. I reckon we do that. Might be a bit hard to organise.

In the meantime TEDESCO TEDESCO TEDESCO

But how would you stop the supporters of the other team from making some noise?

Kill them.

No, seriously, if you had 3 or 4 thousand opposition supporters at our home game, they can make a noise, but when the other 10K home supporters go quiet, there would be a huge difference. Then when we start to cheer our own mob, youd definitelynotice i reckon.

This will get the crowd & hopefully the boys pumped up (BYO percussion)…

Buddy you're a boy make a big noise
Playin' in the street gonna be a big man some day
You got mud on yo' face
You big disgrace
Kickin' your can all over the place
Singin'
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you
Buddy you're a young man hard man
Shouting in the street gonna take on the world some day
You got blood on yo' face
You big disgrace
Wavin' your banner all over the place
We will we will rock you
Sing it
We will we will rock you
Buddy you're an old man poor man
Pleadin' with your eyes gonna make
You some peace some day
You got mud on your face
Big disgrace
Somebody betta put you back into your place
We will we will rock you
Sing it
We will we will rock you
Everybody
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you

Alright

Great Odens Raven I like this one.
Everybody knows it and you can clap, stomp or bang a drum.

In a seriousness: This Fire Burns by KsE would be awesome. The intro alone with the double kick and screaming harmonics would set the crowd off.

This has been discussed a few times over the years. A popular off season topic it seems.

Two massive problems, its extremely challenging trying to find a song that fits and NRL clubs don't have the culture of singing like football clubs do. Even then, most A-League clubs struggle to find an 'anthem' that fits their club and that the fans like and will sing along to.

The song needs to be well known and have a slow rhythm, otherwise its just playing a pop song as music rather than inviting fans to sing.

People see YNWA at Liverpool games and think this is so simple - why doesn't my team do this? Because 99% of the time it doesn't work.

The only teams to really achieve it in Australia are Port Adelaide and Melbourne Victory. The Jets adopted Never Tear Us Apart as well but it's never really stuck for them. Sydney FC are still trying to find a song to replace the godawful "we are Sydney" chant they do for the first bloody ten minutes of a game.

Agree. I suggested a few like this that were easy etc. Do you have any suggestions?

Is it even possible that our fans could get together to sing?
