What teams do you see dropping out of the top 8

(1) Panthers, (2) Storm, (4) Roosters, (5) Raiders, (6) Rabbitohs will all hold their spots.

(3) Eels are a maybe. I think they will slide down the ladder and will be a team that just scrapes into 8th place.

(7) Knights I think will drop out. Seem to be a lot of culture problems going on there. We all know how disruptive that kind of stuff can be to a season.

(8) Sharks could potentially hold their spot, but I'm saying no. Every year their roster gets worse, yet they still manage to squeak into the 8. Wouldn't put it past them to do it again. Depends on their injury list, mainly Shaun Johnson. SJ isn't expected back for a while, and his last injury was really bad.

Sharks definitely. Having Fifita, Moylan, Dugan on your books for so long surely can’t be a good thing. Plus they had the softest run in history last year to make the 8

Eels but only out of hope really. They still have a decent team

I was thinking the same thing. Really interested to see how we go against the Knights / Sharks.

Warriors, Dragons, Broncos imo

To make the 8. Really? Lots of people reckon the Dragons / Broncs will get the wooden spoon.

This is pretty much the consensus thought . But there’s usually a team who does a big turd in their sleep , who everyone rated . So with that in mind , I’m going to say ;

1. Souths
2. Panthers
3. Roosters
4 Tigers ( Believe !!!!! )
5. Storm
6. GC
7. Eels
8. Warriors / Cowboys

Seriously though I think 4-11 is a crap shoot . I’m banking on Cameron Smith being the best to ever play the game , and that having an affect , because it should .So a slight slide . And the Raiders to slide out of the 8, as the have limited creativity and their game is predicated on power, and Bateman creating diversity on the edge , in a way no one else can at that club , being a huge loss for them . Not saying their not creative , but teams who score off kicks a lot , tend to have a season or two where everyone game plans for that .!

People forget Smith was captain,on field coach, did most of the kicking, was also a brilliant goal kicker, and really played a combined 6,7 and 9 role. The whole Storm game plan will have to change. Still a good side but not top 4. Saints and Manly on the bottom,TT and Foran injury prone and lost the toughest forward in the comp.

Yep . It’s like somehow a kid off his rookie season , is going to be as good . And statistically that’s is extremely unlikely . In fact , he’s going to be doing well to do just as well as he did last year , as most hit a wall in their second season . There has to be a slide . That team is weaker on any metric you want to use . Still a great team . But teams will come for them . And apart from the roosters a couple years ago , there’s a reason no ones repeated since the broncos before that . So I’m predicting a slight slide . Also the roosters could slide as well . Not likely , but they could . They are very old , especially with the amount of wear and tear on reasonably aged guys like Cordner and Keary .

Which team(s) are we pushing out of the top 8 from 2020.

As long as we win the whole thing mate doesn't matter where the others come.
Also Manly 16th😛

Yep completely agree.
We will be battling with Eels, titans for the 7th and 8th spots. If the Warriors were allowed to play home games this year I think they would've have done well, but playing here all year is a tough ask.

I think knights and sharks will drop out for sure. Titans will be in for sure. Raiders may underperform this year.

Us/Manly/Warriors/Raiders fight it out for 7th/8th.

Sharks I think and Eels I hope.

Newcastle is a mixed bag, Tyson Frizelle is a big in.

Exactly. I'm pretty sure mate the thread is titled "Teams dropping **out** of the 8" so NZW, STI & Broncos are mine.

I think Newcastle will miss the 8 and Parramatta and the Storm, with no Smith and an injured Harry will miss the 8

I really don't think many sides have improved their rosters that much, except the the Dogs and us. Our forward pack looks very fit and powerfull. The front row has backups, we have fast back rowers.Talented and good tackling hookers. Young talent in Lucy,Blore,Steff ,JS, and young Tuki all future stars. I have black and gold bias , i can't help it.
