Well our management has moved the club to a reasonable level of financial respectability. On Off field side of things we can be satisfied.
However I agree totally that on the coaching front and associated areas of recruitment and retention …. there is no pass mark for a long, long time. Just the fact that our players have had more coaching philosophies shoved down their throats over last 5 years can’t be good. People say that our attack and defensive systems seem to be crap ..... we’ll go figure why?
We missed the mark on number of players. Our backline woes are a direct result of bad reads on players we have let go. Six of our former players are currently playing for (league and union) national teams so that says a lot. And Siro brothers and Moses are doing much better elsewhere. So yeah ..... dissapinting.
I think we may be in for a difficult year. Normally I’m positive about things but circumstances we find ourselves in and our squad this year just doesn’t fill me with confidence.... and I’m not saying this after yesterday’s performance. We just need stability and some good recruitment please over next few years and there will be success to come. But this year .... naaaah!

We just need better athletes. It’s been a problem for many years. Matterson and Jennings are a step in the right direction.
From our roster we need Liddle to blast Farah out of the 9 and Reynolds to do the same with Benji at 6\. As it stands Farah and Marshall deserve their roles. We also need Mbye to have a crack he has been lifeless for the back half of last year and the first trial.

IMO, Packerlino has the ability, but just didnt show it during that game. Most of the players during the game looked like a dogs breakfast

I thought our forwards did well against the Warriors pack, who had a mountain of possession, especially in the first half, when we were also against the wind, and playing in New Zealand. In attack, it seemed we were always trying to get out from deep within our own half. Really Warriors looked most dangerous when they spread the ball wide to their big wingers. When we did get close to their line , majority the time we scored. i think we were just out muscled out wide. I think we need Jennings on the wing.

It was obvious again that we need a proper lock and props, Eisenhuth, Matulino and Packer are for sure the worst and the most useless players at their positions.
Eisenhith is still there because of a few games he played well when he moved from the ISP.
Matulino and Packer look like has beens, surely they hold record for the least meters run per game, unfortunately, Woods and Seumanufagai >>>>> Matulino and Packer, and Sue >>>>> Eisenhuth.:rage:
