When is Lawrence back?

Really need him.

Ryan at centre really isn't working. Its not his fault as he's a winger, but he's consistently coming up with some real bad reads, week after week.

Surely with Lawrence back he can go to the centre and not to 6, and Sheens can make the tough call to drop/bench one of the wingers (Which he will drop Koroibete as its the "safest" choice).

wasn't it reported on here that Sheens was going to put Chris Lawrence at 6 when he comes back? or was that a joke that wasn't funny?

Sorry but Chris in 2012 is not the answer. He has been very average all year and coming back from yet another injury, will only provide a weak link in our defence. Ryan is making some bad reads but he is learning on the fly. Rowdy is experienced and has made the same poor reads all year long.

I hope we dont see him again this year, he gets over all his niggles, gets fit, gets his head right and attacks 2013 full bore.

Would rather Lawrence didn't come back this year, tbh. I know that sounds crazy, but he hasn't been good all year and I think we have been playing heaps better without him. If his inclusion means that he will be playing five eighth and that Koroibete will be dropped, I'd rather it didn't happen.

Exactly. If Marika gets dropped then its not worth it.

Marika wont get dropped. Even Sheens has to see what a great asset pure pace is. For mine Ryan to fullback and Moltzen to the bench if Lawrence comes back.

I will at the start of next year put a lot of money on Marika being leading tryscorer in the NRL. If he has a fully fit Chris Lawrence inside him it will hapen. Marika has the pace to keep up and Lawrence can put his outside man away. It could be a lethal combo next season.

THIS!

Chris Lawrence version '12 won't make a lick of difference to this side. I really doubt we're going to see the same player ever again as we did before his injury. I really feel what we're seeing with Lawrence is along the lines of Simon Dwyer but to a much lesser extent. I know nothing compares to Dwyer, but what we've seen with Rowdy with his injury is just a shadow of the player he was before his injury. Its such a shame

Lawrence had a poor first half to the season but his last 7 or 8 games were much better and back to almost his best the last 3 or 4 -however I think this season is over even if we do make the finals so would rather him get fit for next year

Some folks write off players fast!
Lawrence is the best backline defender in the club,& altho not quite the same weapon in attack due to a loss of pace & confidence that goes with that, hes the best option in centres by daylite.
And he's still young with plenty of upside

There's a difference between saying he wouldn't make much of a difference and saying that you don't want to see him back. So far i haven't seen anyone say they don't want to see him back. Don't twist people's words

see this is the problem here at WT. we DID need him out there today. you can't place a player above the team.. he is the best center at the club and whenever he passes the fitness test, he should be put back into no.4
