When Will The Coach Be Announced?

Belamy publicly stated that he knocked the tigers back because he wanted to stay in QLD with his family whilst his son was in year 12\. A few months later he signed on to the storm and was willing to travel back to QLD.

Mate he was trying to be polite, we were the joke of the league at the time.

And that's why I said publicly stated.. There was no way we were close to signing him as others have suggested, especially after Hill carrying on in the media and backing langmack.

Back on topic I hope we do find out soon after the test surely by now the club would have interviewed everyone they need to.

If I recall he knocked us back because Bennet recommended that he do so. We were a rabble with limited talent and depth. We pissed $4 million into the wind on guys like Hill, Hoppa, McKracken, Craige and Seers.

Sheens took the job that no one else wanted and gave us stability, a talented junior base and a premiership all whilst having to deal with the factions of the board.

Hated him after 89, respected him by 2011 but am glad he is moving on…

I think that sums it up pretty well - can't wait for a decision to be made so we can move on.
Don't want 2013 to be a write off while we get use to a new coach.

October 16, and it will be Mick Potter

**After the test this weekend and Mick Potter**. Sheens to finish up as Australian coach and off to NZ.

I'm putting my faith in you B&W.

Potter after the test will do me just fine.

If B&W says its happening ,its happening

Was talking to one of the senior players on Tuesday and that is what he thought would happen.
Sheens to coach NZ wrong… Just announced Matt Elliott to coach New Zealand Warriors. The Warriors wanted Sheens to give up coaching Australia obviously his not prepared to do that.

And news article Parish boards pick for coach so Potter might be wrong as well.. does that mean Sheens is staying ?

MATT Parish remains firm favourite to coach Wests Tigers next season, leading a field that includes Nathan Brown, Kevin Walters and Jim Dymock.

Parish has the necessary board support to take over next season from sacked Tim Sheens.

Dymock is highly-regarded but is reluctant to leave Canterbury, where he is an assistant coach under Des Hasler. Wests Tigers have a board meeting a fortnight from today, where a sub-committee is expected to recommend Parish for the top job.

The board is likely to accept the recommendation although some at the club want the coaching vacancy filled sooner. Parish, a former Balmain player whose father Don represented Western Suburbs and Australia, is understood to have had discussions with the club. Walters, assistant coach to Craig Bellamy at premiers Melbourne, was being pushed by some at the Tigers but he is unlikely to be successful.
Parish comes with glowing reports from NSW State of Origin coach Laurie Daley and Tigers legend Steve Roach. If unsuccessful, Parish would then sign a three-year deal as assistant coach to Ricky Stuart at Parramatta.

Sheens has not yet indicated whether he will accept another position at Wests Tigers. That decision is likely to be made next week when he returns from Townsville, where he coaching Australia.

With Parish now leaving Manly, the Sea Eagles are searching for a new assistant coach. Some candidates include Stuart Raper, Tony Iro, Brad Arthur and Phil Blake.

You would think that we would have the board meeting earlier than a fortnight from today assuming all the necessary candidates have been interviewed. Stay tuned, the saga continues...

Sheens legacy blah blah blah….
Who's to know we wouldn't have done the same if not better if they had signed someone else.

would of and could of's aside.

We were a basket case when he got here, we won a comp, and now have an outstanding channel of players that will hold us in good stead for years to come.

despite falling out of favour, he did plenty of good here.

You can still be happy his gone and all the rest, without poo pooing everything he did here.

Can I say something

If the only glowing reports you get for a coaching position is from Blocka and Lozza and you are seriously considering them …... Everyone in upper management is nuts

Get a bulldozer folks and level the place or turn it into an asylum

I'm not saying that he can or can't coach , but you might find that Parish had a real positive influence with Robbie during SOO and Robbie might be saying that he wants him

With Farah coming off contract next year, IMO i think Farah will have a big say in who we appoint coach. The reason i believe he will have a say is because the board will be doing everything it can to keep him happy & happy with the direction the club is heading in.

Fair dinkum, it was only a few short weeks ago that most of you guys were screaming that you would take anyone as coach as long as it wasn't Sheens. Now it seems most of you are screaming about Parish even without any firsthand knowledge of how he interviewed, what his plans might be and what he's likely to be like as a man manager. Talk about being impossible to please.

Given the names of the other potential replacements out there Parish would have to be close to the bottom of the list. I'd take Potter, Brown, Folkes and rookies Arthur, Dymock or even Georgallis as well ahead of Parish. At the moment I feel like a kid who was promised a car for their 17th birthday and they're expecting to walk out and see a convertible in the driveway but wind up walking out to find a bomb.
