When will we know if the club made the right decisions ?

The club hasn't really started the on field changes

That will be years away

you don't think the club has blooded all these youngsters in at the same time with an eye on sustained success over the next few years ?

What changes do you anticipate happy ?

When the old culture move on & the club is serious about key signings.

Need to go:
Farah
Lawrence
Galloway
Richards
Halatau

It takes at least four years to complete an apprenticeship and much of the current team is made up of apprentices.

The veterans Tony . As much as you will hate hearing this but players like Farah ,Halatau , Keefy , Richards ,Lawrence are closer to the end than the start of their careers

No of course there at the end of their careers and all will probably be moved on in the next 2-3 years.

Imagine how much money we'd have to spend when Lawerence and Farah come off contract :astonished:

Even Keithy wouldn't be on peanuts.

But surely you would still anticipate some
success before they leave. A finals berth in 2016 at the very least.

Interesting times ahead, seeing who Taylor brings in once they're all gone because then we have no excuses in regards to salary cap pressure.

When we start winning more games than we loose.

Thank god there's a team called Parramatta !

….Who've recruited Foran and Scott for next yr. Unless we make a couple strong signings over the next couple of months, this could be the last yr we finish in front of them for a while

The bottom line is you can have heaps of cash and heaps of cap space but it doesn't mean you will be able to attract quality players to your club. While you continue to struggle on the field makes it a hard place to sell.

Farah's behaviour at the end of last season should have got him a key to the door, the door to out of there!

I'll tell you after Round 26 , 2016 Tony

We will probably trot out basically the same side in 2016 bar a few fringe signings

They will certainly need to improve based on the last two performances

Older players tend not to improve so we will be greatly reliant on the youngsters

The difference heading into 2016 would be that all these younger players would have another full season under their belts.

That way they can head into 2016 feeling more comfortable in the top grade, giving them a better chance of fulfiling the hype surrounding them.

The more comfortable they feel in the top grade the less reliant they are on the senior players, buying us some time to fix up our salary cap as we move on the over-paid veterans.

I think the Tigers need less of a game plan and structure and more of just go out and play footy. Structure and basic game plan to an extent yes, but mostly just trust the instincts and play what's in front of you.

I think they did this more under potter than Taylor who seems to not be allowing them to do this and thats why I think we now will see less games where we absolutely light it up (eg Bulldogs games from 2014 and 2015) and more games where we are just robotic and in the grind the whole game.

I think they have the potential to win often but just more that they are being restricted to a style that doesn't suit them.

In saying that I also think we need to add a lot of depth to our squad if we want to be competitive every week. Here's hoping we make some good signings for 2016

I doubt we have a Salary Cap problem… I think its more a Revenue Problem.

We simply dont have the cattle to have a cap problem!

No I'm sure it's a salary cap issue as stated by JT when he first got here.

I'd assume players like Robbie, Galloway, Lawerence, Richards, Blair and a few others may have been overpaid, hence stemming into our salary cap issues.

Regardless, the NRL gives every club a $7 million payment to cater for the salary cap. So we can use our full salary cap

As it stands, we need everything to go right to win games. A few bum refereeing decisions for example , is guaranteed to sink us.
I'll stick to my October 2014 prediction of a 13 th place finish. Our kicking game, particularly from Moses, is very poor. We're three or four players short of a top side. When state cup players cup players string some good games together that need a chance . the current lot just keep being selected, Santi and akaloa both went well on the weekend . at least put them on the bench to reward good form

every cllub essentially spends its entire cap.

hence the 7 million grant the NRL gives, it's to cover the salary caps.
