Where is lote?

arm still isn't right yet.so no contract.
while the club said he wasn't signed because the cap wasn't settled a couple of months ago,it seems pretty clear no contract was signed because they were not sure when his arm would be good to go.

Spoke with lote last night, arm is getting assessed by surgeon this week. Once has all clear he will be able to resume contact. He said he expects to be back on paddock around round 3/4

Things don't sound too good for Lote..he might be better off retiring and the money put to signing better players.

Match payments only for 2013?

Financially for the Tigers it is the safer option. I noticed last year Lote took a while to gain full match fitness too so I think he may have his work cut out with Utai and Nofoaluma getting a good jump on him, and I'll include Mr T given he's lining up on the wing in NSW Cup and bagging tries.

See him in round 6 then

OK I'll say it, if lote plays NRL this season we have gone backwards. Who here can't wait for lote to return to fg and feels its a big loss without him on the park? I'd guess not many. Lote remember Wendell at the dragons, you don't want to look like that. Hang em up old boy.

Reports that he is now out for THREE MONTHS after he had bicep surgery this week.

Did we officially end up re-signing him? If not, that money is best spent elsewhere.

LOTE Tuqiri’s season is in tatters, with a second round of arm surgery putting him out of action for at least three months.
>
The Daily Telegraph can reveal the 33-year-old went under the knife on Tuesday after scans showed his torn bicep had not healed properly.
>
Tuqiri sustained the injury in last year’s Round 18 clash against Canterbury, ending his season on a bitter note for the second year running.
>
Tuqiri broke his forearm in just the third weekend of the previous season.

The latest setback leaves a huge question mark over the dual International’s future, with Tuqiri only on a one-year deal with the Tigers.
>
He pushed hard for the deal to end on the right note after his horror run over the past two seasons.

According to this, it sounds like he has signed a 1 year deal already this year.

if he did sign,it goes to show just how far down the totem pole he has slid.
i can't imagine him signing and no announcement.
though we have signed players and then released them a couple weeks later.
so anything is possible with this club.

Was there ever an official announcement on Moltzen?
Seems the club are almost embarrassed by some of their players

Time for him to hang up the boots imo.
If he is taking up cap space I think there is a get out clause that we can get a rebate sorta thing if he pulls the pin

Earlier in the year there was an article about Lote's re-signing and he stated "I hope to have something sorted soon, but we were waiting on a few things at the moment" or something along those lines. So I wonder if the club was aware of his injuries and wanted to find out more before offering him any extension.

I'd be happy if they held off the offer until they new the extent of what his injuries were, and hopefully they can arrange him to play for match payments, not 100% sure on that even being available (I believe a maximum number of games can be played doing this) but by missing half the season I'm sure he could qualify for that.

Everyone loves what Lote has done in his career and there is nothing better than seeing him in full flight, but when he or his manager dont come out and say they are taking calls from 100000 clubs who are interested in his service you know its time to retire..
