Who are you going to replace Taylor with?

I might be wrong but Taylor wasn't responsible for releasing Austin & Thompson, I think Thompson signed a new contract then wanted to go home for personal reasons, so they released him.

Early days at the moment but i kind of like the Toovey Johns combination.

Toovey's team is running last is it not?

Johns is a nut case.

Another hate Taylor forum. How many more?

I am not calling for taylor to be sacked. I think any coach deserves 2 off seasons to try and improve a team.

However you can see this happening. If Taylor gets the spoon this year and then goes say 4 and 8 to start next year. I can see the club giving Kimmorley the interim role until the end of the season and from there it would be his to lose.

Would be the cheap option.

Not many of the five person board would have known who to choose as coach ….. so they would have relied heavily on Mayer to make the call. Which is why they kept him on as long as they did.

I'm not going to make a judgement call just yet on Taylor ..... but having said that ... the signs are not good.

hate to say it but brain smith should have got the job for 1-2 seasons to get the place into shape, he done it well at the roosters.

I think Taylor has a 3 yr contract, He has a squad that's weaker then last year, What did we really expect this year, We cant just keep getting rid of Coaches.

So true, what did people expect?? Austen,Blair and Thompson all left a team that was struggling in 2014, they were replaced by a bunch of kids in 2015\. So as expected we have gone backwards. Point the finger at the people who control the finances who have let this club nearly bleed to death but not the coaches, well not yet at least, every coach needs two years before their hanged. Dont want to be like Parra where a coach get sacked most years

Taylor is responsible for releasing players & allowing others to negotiate. Taylor should join the man that appointed him.

It's actually Phil Moss…but meh...

Cleary and Gus. Do anything, supporters should push for them to come here. If supporters are at games with posters pushing for this do you really think Gus wouldn't get in contact with the club? We need to get big though.

In all honesty people, after what we have been through so far this year and the team we have to support,JT must be given every possible chance to get this young group to an NRL standard, this year is a sorting out period, next year will be a true test and his last year must yield results otherwise we will need to look to other options…Ive had enough of giving myself heartburn watching this team, when they improve enough to start being serious about playing NRL football then I might take a keen interest again..

We went through this in Sheens latter years, we went through this with Potter and now Taylor. Now that is three coach who can not turn things around, so why is another coach going to have that secret receipt.

Time to focus on the playing roster and our revenue streams if your want change, if they do not change nothing else will. Beg borrow or steal, get some serious capital and give Taylor or who ever a roster that at least can compete, than we might start seeing some action

I think it's more of a question of "Who would want to come here under these conditions?" rather than who we replace.

I know this sounds unlikley but we need to get Craig Bellamy dont worry about money if he comes we can make money from Sponsors etc look what he has done with the storm there halves Cronk, Hampton and Blake Green and there forwards Procter, Bromwich, Harris, Blair all these players would be nothing without Bellamy he could turn Brooks and Moses into international stars Martin Taupua, Lawerence, Siro, Lovett, WOODS, Ava, Lodge, Sue this pack under Bellamy would be unstoppable. We could have the next Big three in Teddy Moses Brooks think of the possibilities even though Taylor will properly still be here till his contract ends though. Farah 900k i love the man so much he has been a great servent to the club. Cherrington would fill his void well if farah leaves 900k to bellamy a year should be enough to convice him to leave and well worth the money

Plain and simple we will not be getting rid of Taylor because we dont have the money to pay him out we took around 2 years to pay Sheens out so get over it. I know Taylor is not the best coach but he doesnt have the cattle to work with either. Yeah many so called experts say we have one of the best young rosters in the game but as it is now IMO there quite a few blokes that have been frown to the wolves before they are ready and we are also carrying a few players that probably wouldnt make first grade in most other sides. We are going to feel the pain this year and next year but i can see Taylor is clearing the decks now to have a big lash and get top class first graders for 2017.No one wanted to go to Canberra , Saints , Parra before but look at the signings they are getting now. If you offer good players good money they will come regardless how you are travelling. The problem with the Wests Tigers is we have been paying big money for average players. Start bringing in some top players in to help out our up and coming boys then its game on !!!

It must be a senior coach with the ability to manage all facets of the football operations…

After 4 years of Potter and Taylor [2016], we need to throw the 'super dooper vision plan' ideas in the bin and find a senior coach willing to make the tough calls plus get each individual to do there job on the paddock from year 1.

The hunting list in order looks like this:

1\. Hasler
2\. Bellamy
3\. Robinson

Dont worry about the "how we gona afford them" or the "we are broke" BS, these 3 will bring enough sponsors, players and clout with them to pay the bills!

Spot on. No 10 year plans for success. Its about winning as many games as possible with the squad that we have. Then looking to add the right players that are available. Maybe the coach should have nothing to do with recruitment and retention. The coaches job is to get the team to perform to the best of its ability.

Where is the money coming from????

Pay Hasler or Bellamy or Robinson (Why would any of them come to us????)
I mean if they came - they'd basically play for nothing, cause they like us so much.

Then pay 2 years of Taylors contract out.

Then look at buying some experienced players that we need. Yeah! right.

They wouldn't do any better with the players we have than JT.
It's easy when you have the team and the players you want.

Dream on Guys!

Talking up players for other teams to poach - IS NOT ON!

Sir Alex Ferguson is available these days. What about Phil Gould perfect !

I think the sacking talk is a bit premature. It's about the expectations he set when he came in. If the board expects that 2015 will be a poor one, then we will have to grin and bear it.

If he has sold the story that at the end of 2014 we were a rabble (financially, culturally, structurally ,personnel etc) which I am lead to believe he did, then I susoect he would have talked about "3 year plans".

year 1 (2015) - Write off. Rebuild all facets of the team. New structures, staff and coaching focus. Poor finances mean no new faces. Release players to take pressure of salary cap. Finals appearances not expected.

Year 2 (2016) - improvement year. Will challenge for top 8 based on embedding of new structures and personnel taking effect. Young playing roster will get better. Limited player market activity. Cap position to also improve.

Year 3 (2017) - Challenge for premiership. Top 4 placing expected. Tigers to be active in player market for marquee signings as cap position is now manageable. Young players (Brooks, Moses, Sirro, Tedesco, nofa, Lodge, Seve, Cherrington) are all now seasoned first graders with some moving to representative levels.

This may be a pike dream but if the board has bought into something like this nothing will happen in the short term.

We are but merely fans. Our opinions are the last to be sought.

Umm..not quite, coopy. Some of us are members and bring our cash to the club. I will be contacting the club with my concerns and my lack of interest in renewing membership after 10 years.
