Who are your favourite comedians

Always love a good laugh . My favourites were Monty Python , Eddie Murphy (Raw and Delirious) , Chris Rock , Sam Kinison and Billy Connolly . Of the Aussies like Carl Barron , Scared Weird Little Guys (currently on their farewell tour ) , Jimoein . Was a mad fan of The Big Gig (a comedy show on ABC Monday nights), and the Young Ones . As a team we used to try and skip our 5km run at the end of training on Thursday nights to watch the Young Ones show as a team . Anyone else like a laugh and who did you like ??

Bill Hicks is my all time favourite. He died in '94 from pancreatic cancer but he was so far ahead of his time that all his material is still, if not more, relevant today. Dennis Leary wouldn't have a career in comedy if Bill Hicks wasn't around, so much of his material was plagiarised from Hicks.

Mitch Hedberg, Russell Brand, Carl Barron, Ross Noble, Stephen K Amos, Tahir Bilgic & Danny Bhoy are other clear favourites. I'm a huge fan of Henry Rollins also, but I wouldn't classify him as a comedian.

I get some of my biggest laughs from the "insightful" comments posted on this forum

I don't know, the biggest comedian going around at the moment would have to be Ricky Stuart, surely CK?

I put both Stuart and Fulton into the "clown' category - not good enough to be called comedians

Tony Abbott and Nick Minchin when they talk about Climate Change
rofl

Robin Williams - comic genius.

I saw Steady Eddy live at Parramatta Leagues years ago and it was the funniest shows I have ever seen.

Has to be Carl Barron. That dude is just funny to look at and the sounds he makes.

Best O/S comedian is Jim Gaffigan. You would have seen him as extras in movies, but his stand up is a pi55er.

Carl Barron is so unfunny.
Best Australian comedian imo is Akmal Saleh
