It will be interesting to see how they go in rd 8 + 9 & the semis

It will. I just hope they don't end up like the Magpies team who I think qualified 1st and lost first week in.

Have you seen the Balmain SG Ball team play? Yeah it's a good draw but they put the cleaners through St George last start who are hardly easybeats.

Yeah Wests had the easy draw last year and finished minor premiers but went no further. That is just the way it is at SG Ball level.

I assume they've kept the same finals format?

I think we need a big strong winger next year not sure who but its where we should be throwing our cash that 1st and 2nd tackle getting out from our line finishing off tries and breaks and also under the high ball are real moments of truth and without lite we struggle

Agreed… we need a good option outside Rowdy!

I think we need a dangerous back 3 players as well. Ryan gets one position. Tedesco based on half a performance in grade looks likely but geez that is really pushing it. Lote is out way too often and I'd like to see a dangerous player that can cause damage bought in.

I'd like to see us sign Tony Williams from Manly. He can make an impact.

If John Grant can learn the game in BRET, he looks like he could be the goods for next year. Tall, strong and very fast. Just needs to get a bit more involved and I imagine that will come in time. Unfortunately for him BRET seem to have a different team (and positions) every week so might be hard to work on his positioning.

And there was the massive winger who played for Wests last year and is on the bench for BRET Naiyovona (apologise for the guess at his name). He reminds me of when I saw Tony Williams playing centre for Wentworthville in a NSW Cup semi against BRET, although our bloke seems a bit slower but same wrecking ball quality.

His name is Marika Koroibete. Look for him next year on the left wing.

Willow I think u could be right about koribete in fact I think we again have some real stars in our 20s -koribete , miller, Sorbonne and a new one I've noticed this year micheal Kai in the centers I checked the stats he is leading Toyota cup in line breaks with 6 3 lb assists and 4th in meters after 3rounds just not sure where he would play given our centre but could be a winger too

I think Koribete will be on of our wingers next season assuming he is fit. If Beau Ryan sticks around I think we can see our backline coming together.

As for props we don't necessarily need a big name but just some depth with guys who can do a solid job (more Bell than Mason). We already have KG and Woods, one has played rep footy and the other will, plus Groat and Bell for rotation. I'd be looking more at the Melbourne model - good honest toilers who go forward and don't worry about much else.

I don't see us being leading contenders for a big name halfback given that for the money someone like Cronk demands, he would need to be our leading playmaker. We already spend good money on Marshall to do that. I'd personally be happy with someone with a good kicking game and decent defence. Peter Wallace showed last night how you control a game at the tail end with a good kicking game - kick after kick found the ground and stopped on the tryline. We much have the worst kicking game in the comp.

Give John grant a go in the first grade team
