Who else are we signing for 2013 ??

I don't know why we've been so caught up on trying to solve our problems with signatures. There's obviously some serious talent in the 20s, so I think we should take a leaf out of the broncos book and look within the club as opposed to elsewhere.

Agreed. Some Bozo's on this forum want to sign everybody and his dog before looking internally. So tiring.

x3\. Look to the likes of Mosese Fotuaika, Jesse Su, Matt Evans, young Sirro, Koroibete, Nofoaluma, Andrew Vela…there's 5-7 guys in this year's squad who could play FG next year IMO, and another 5-6 the year after too.

We blame Sheens for overlooking MIller, but than talk about Cronk, DCE, Pearce, Carney etc.
We have Tedesco, Rudolph, Koroibete, Fotuaika etc. but all you hear is Slater, Stewart, Minichello, Dugan etc.
We have Moorse, Davis, Harris, Sue, Santi etc. but we fantasise about Manu, Taylor, Williams etc.

The quest for a NRL Premiership begins with the club management doing a good job on retaining, hiring and firing the players that will make up the squad for not just the immediate year, but the next couple of following years to come. Without being privy to the actual amounts of money players are being paid, I would have to say that the Tigers have, whilst doing a good job of retaining the core playing group, have done a mediocre job. Without getting caught up in the past too much, I would just like to point out what i think is the biggest and most obvious omission from the squad, and that is a quality half back since Scott Prince left. Lui was the closest the Tigers ever came to a half decent halfback and the fact that we havent had one, has put undue pressure on Farah and Marshall.
Putting all that aside, I think Anasta is the next best thing to getting a good halfback. I think Anasta should get first crack at 5/8 with Marshall at halfback, I would prefer Marshall at 5/8 and a quality established halfback, but unfortunately due to the managements poor recruitment, we have to go with Marshall at half. On saying that, I still feel that if Marshall can make a fist of half, and I think he did on quite a few occasions in 2012, Anasta and Marshall could form a very lethal combo. Many people may feel that Siro should play 5/8 and Anasta go to lock, I would be happy with that too, and actually prefer a young up and coming star like Siro at 5/8, but i feel that for that to happen Siro needs to legitemately earn his spot and outplay Anasta to get it. In the meantime, with Heighington gone, whoever doesnt play 5/8 out of Siro and Anasta, would make ideal candidates for Lock, IF they can defensively handle it. Most people would probably agree with me when i say that Liam Fulton deserves the number 13 as he is strong defensively and underated when it comes to his ball playing skills (he was always a better option for Lock then heighington imo anyway).
Other then the conundrum of the halves, my main concern is that the Tigers are willing to lose Ryan but to keep Tuquiri. To me that seems insane! As i said i am not privy to players contracts but i assume that Lote would cost more than Ryan, not only would he be more expensive, but Lote is not nearly as versatile, and to be honest simply not as good (Lote was great in his day, but his time has gone). Other concerns is the amount Blair is rumoured to be costing us. I hear he is around the same price as Marshall or Farah, Blair will NEVER justify that price tag if it's true, he wasn't that good when he played for Melbourne either.
Moltzen needs to go too, and if any player has a problem with who has to go and who needs to stay or be recruited, they should realize that their personal relationships are not as important as the overall success of the team, it's professional sport not kids weekend games. Out of the players we have in the squad at the moment i'd like to see a team like this next year:
1\. Tedesco
2.Utai
3.Ayshford (although Ryan would've been a better option in my opinion, I'd be looking for another centre)
4\. Lawrence
5.Koribete
6.Anasta
7.Marshall Reserves: 14.Pettybourne
8.Woods 15.Sironen
9.Farah © 16.Groat
10.Galloway 17.Reddy
11.Blair
12.Murdoch-Masila
13.Fulton

Beau was going to be on a decent contract and figures agreed upon 2 months ago might not match figured poised by sharks After his performances this year!
Tuquiri is on a one year deal for peanuts much more affordable!
And great mentor for korebete!
I'm not advocating this I'd right but just from a business perspective!
