I am amazed by the speed Korobeitre has watching run down waqua was a real eye opener, i haven't seen Grant play but would he be any quicker? I may be one eyed but i rekon Korobietre might be the fastest player in the nrl? Your thoughts

I believe Koro would be easily the fastest in the NRL as his PB is 10.48s I believe (obviously over 100m)
Don't know much about Grant apart from the fact that he ran just over 11s in the Gatorade bolt

Usually when you switch from sprinting to NRL you change a hell of a lot phsyically and lose some speed

So basing track times on how fast they are now is usually a wasted exercise

Having said that can't imagine to many NRL players have gone under 10.50 seconds

Speed is relevent too , whether it is top end or over the first 20-30 metres .

Acceleration is much more important than top speed imo and from videos as well as the gatorade bolt event koroibete has much better acceleration than grant. Honestly I don't see a spot for grant in the team unless beau ends up signing for another team

Speed is one thing but you can't pick players purely based on their speed, you need to take into account handling, defense, tackle misses and busts etc. I think Koro will develop into a better player than Grant

Grant is definitely faster than Koro. Wouldn't have the same acceleration but I guarantee that over the 100 Grant would win. Waqa is not very fast. He'd actually be one of the slower wingers running around.

Have no idea who is the fastest and don't really care , but if Grant can learn his trade and become a first grade player ,then having one on each wing would throw panic into opposition teams .

And right on cue the troll is back :unamused:

Over 100 metres I'd back Grant. Over 50 I reckon Koroibete would just get him. Two contrasting running styles - Koro is pure power and acceleration off the mark whereas Grant just glides across the ground and moves very efficiently.

I do think Koroibete is the better build for footy though. Being shorter and more explosive he is just much harder to bring down. Still I would really like to think that there is a lot of development being done on Johnny Grant. I'd hate to think he has gone the way of Chisholm, been signed and just ignored. He should be on a fast track to first grade. Having them both on each wing would take us from having the slowest wingers to the fastest.

Agreed love to see this:

1\. Teddy
2\. Grant
3\. Nofo
4\. Rowdy
5\. Koro

Oh man that is such a fast fast fast backline. Fastest backline I ever saw!

..and the most inexperienced!
Take out Lawrence and the other 4 guys have not played a handful of first grade games.

i went for koro because he's not just quick but elusive as well. in saying that if it was pure footrace 100m grant would probably win but the football field is different with having to carry the ball to . On a side note my 8 year boy would love to see grant play (after watching the gatorade race) he checks the bret team every week, while my 7 year boy pretends he's koro (after watching him score those 3 trys) funny how people can become cult heroes overnight.
