Love Golf, but now I know you hit a 76, my surgeon was right and I shouldn't play for another 6 months… 😕

Absolute prick of a game to play. I either hit it way left, way right, or top it so it rolls about 50m. When I actually do hit it well it lands in somebody's divot that they couldn't be bothered fixing up. I feel that 99% of the stress in my life left me the day I gave the game away.

I play a bit, pretty long off the tee, reasonable with the irons and close to dreadful at chipping and putting.

Still dont mind it though but only on the odd occasion these days.

I used to hate the game until I started going on end-of-year corporate golf days when I started my apprenticeship and have played the game ever since. Problem is I'm either great with my long game and my short game goes to buggery or vice versa, can never string it all together at once. Played the other week at the goat track in Leonay and shot 94, chipping & putting was woeful.

I haven't had a proper hit out in 4 or so years which is tragic as I live across the road from a course and the Driving range is 600 meters away.

I must admit I like playing golf.
have been having a go at it since 1957, and still enjoy it to this day.
as i am getting on a bit in years, i know use a buggy to drive around in.
I play a minimum 3 times a fort night weather permitting, at North Ryde Golf Club.

Great round Geo at the Vines mate, it's great when it all clicks in for you.
Getting down to a single figure handicap has been my life long frigging goal for me , and it looks like a massive pipedream, now.
Qualified today on the fourball knockout , where I had 7 three pointers to go with my 3 wipes & 3 one pointers…though we combined for 45 pointers.

After the GF luncheon late last year , I promised Ellis , Lawo & Heighno a game at my course during the pre season , and they were all keen ...I think it was the beer talking , but I haven't managed to organized it yet... Ellis is a mad golfer, but with all of them going up to Qld to lend a hand ..time is running out before the 1st trial in 4 weeks or so

I've played at North Ryde as well and in fact, I had a lesson there with one of the pro's. It's a pretty nice course, big fairways, nice greens, etc. Only downside is, it's a bit up and down which is a bit frustrating if you don't have a buggy lol :slight_smile: . I only played the front 9 there a year ago, but I'd like to go back there and hopefully complete a full round.

Lol, I have the same problem mate, as the old saying goes 'drive for show, putt for dough'. I've practised chipping alot at the Driving Range, but it's unrealistic as there are no bunkers or other hazards you may experience on a course.
