Who needs to stay/come or leave Wests

Now that the NC debate is over, lets focus on some realistic needs…...
3 spots left in the 30 I think, (that is without us somehow moving on one or two players that are dead wood) - have to be targeting a speedy outside back and 2 x hard running impact forwards.
Watching the videos on the 2018 season in review, especially for Huth and Mats, it is clear that our forwards are really too slow and cumbersome. No intensity or fierceness, such easy targets for opposing D. Twal's highlights at least showed a mobile ball runner - Aloiai shows some potential but just not enough of it. If we could just sign a couple of Marty Tapau type guys to bolster our go forward. Fingers crossed!!

Just a question - where are these Marty Taupau type guys that we could sign for 2019?

Only two spots left. Unless we move some on or shift some out of 30.

Absolutely.

1/4 - you obviously did not see any games in 2018\. I'll use that as your excuse anyway.

Lawrence was close to our best this year.

Lawrence was our most consistent forward. Every game he played he had a strong game in attack and defence. Plus he is only on 300K from here on in. It would make no sense to move him on.

Scored 7 tries in 2018 - 2nd in the club behind Corey Thompson (9).

Yeah and "Snake" has flipped Rowdy, replacing him with Matherson and Garner.
Thank god he's not in charge of signings and retention.

Garner might up his form, since he know he might have a certain 'bench" spot next year so yeah

He’s a long way off pushing Rowdy out of a second row spot.
I’m glad you said might have a a bench spot.

Got to look to the future guys .. Rowdy is getting on and spending more time on the sideline injured ,yes he is in the picture but Imo my go to guys offer a bit more .Need something other than Rowdy getting the ball in the 20 every play. .

Disagree - first forward picked - Matterson on the right, Taylor at lock and we'll see who we buy as another forward,

Its not that feasible to see both Garner and Matterson start as the second row combination for next season .. both tall mobile back rowers. Lawrence and Taylor could fighting for the lock position .. !!

Knights are trying to offload Connor Watson, Guerra was very average this year. SKD hot and cold.
I wouldn't call any of them great signings.

I would take Watson as a no 14 and back up 1 6 7 and 9, but with Marshall and Reynolds on our books I guess we don’t need him

I think we are ok in the 2nd row now with the addition of Madderson.
Need a third prop or large lock though.
Packerlino and Twal need a good big impact player to give our pack some starch . Marty would be ideal. Also a gun outside back.

Guerra was good this year. Not a great signing we sure could've used him this year.
