think you are all going overboard with the 5/8 change.

kicking game was huge along with impact from the bench.

the big difference was benji stepped up and executed plays that allowed us to keep the pressure up.

Yeah Benji said after the game that with Lawrence off, it forced him to get involved more.

Yes and it seemed that the times he looked most dangerous was when he was a little wider…...

Yep Benji did step up big time in the second half

Looking at Bon's avatar can some answer the big question , far more important than the match result ….

What the .... with Lote and Liams post try celebration . Maybe they need to practice packing scrums instead of packing what they seemed to be up to

Liam the wannabe Rasta Man

Utai went to right wing, Ryan right centre and Ayshford moved in closer but i wouldnt say he played 5/8….Moltzen did a lot more ballplaying and basically defended at fullback but playef 5/8 in attack, his best position.

Id be watching Simona very closely this week, as id be happy to see Moltzen given a chance at 6

Definiately, he needs to be 2 wide of the ruck, which not only gives him enough space to work his magic, but it usually sees the opposition holding off waiting for Benji to do something, which could be anything.

Aysh, Fulton and Moltz all chimed in at pivot.

For mine it was because we simplified and made football about multiple bodies in motion again.

That and Aysh played a massive chunk of his unior football as a running 5/8 so it made alot more sense

Yep. Lawrence moving out of 6 had nothing to do with it.

It was all about Benji and especially his kicking game. It really was a great game from him - much more controlled.

Why not Moltzen 5/8th, Benji 7 for next game?

Moltzen looked to be a 5/8th at times and gee it looks like his natural position to me.

Benji was fine with 7 on his back.

I'm glad you guys had this one covered before i woke up this morning as i had NFI last night!

Benji & Moltz definitely looked much better in the second half and i'd be happy to see that again next week.

There are a lack of fullback options, AND from interviews etc. it seems Moltzen provides a tonne of dirrection behind the defensive line. It's really noticeable at the game how much he is controlling where the defensive line moves, something that was non-existent when Humble/Ryan was fullback.
